Easy to set up and break dwn , easy to clean. Very portable!
I recently purchased the Fuji spray semi pro spray system. I had read a few reviews and watched a few video reviews online. Im a house painter for past 30 years and have a lot of experience with exterior and interior painting and prep work. Im just getting into painting cabinets thought this would be a great starting spot fir me and it turned out to be a great spray system. It worked like a charm. I Highly recommend Fuji spray 2202 semi pro. Its really built well and is high quality materials.

5 Stars all Around
I finish furniture and spray a lot of lacquer. This 2202 Semi-Pro sprayer is totally awesome. Even if you are a beginner at spraying, this machine will make you look like a pro. Very easy to use and straight forward. I have not experienced any leakage or malfunctions. It is a very versatile machine. It can spray a variety of finishes. Once you get it dialed in with the material that you are spraying, it will lay down a nice smooth and even coat. Also, it is super easy to clean when finished. I wish I had purchased one a long time ago. In my opinion, you just can't go wrong with this Fuji Spray System. Two things to note. It is a turbine, so naturally it will be a bit noisy. But to me it is not an issue because I place it as far away as I can from my spray area. The other is that it does get hot so be sure to let it cool down before removing the air hose. I would highly recommend this unit to any of my friends without hesitation.

Outstanding quality and value
Just finished my first job with this system and it produced excellent results. The gun compares favorably to my Apollo 7700, but I like the fan control better on this gun. It’s also easier to clean and assemble which is very important. The turbine is adequate for finish latex with 2mm needle and tip, but viscosity is critical to get good atomization. It should be plenty of air for most clear finishes which will be my primary use.

Great results, easy to use (even for a beginner)
This is a great sprayer, even for an amateur like me. It is easy to set up, relatively easy to clean up, and controlling the spray pattern was easy as well. The build quality is really solid which also translates to a bit of weight - but the hose is plenty long so you don't need to move the base around while spraying. It took a little bit of trial and error to get the paint to the right consistency (adding water to latex paint), but I was able to get there - just remember to not start with too much additional water - you can always add more. Definitely recommend wearing ear plugs or some other form of protection because the fan does get loud but that is to be expected. Also would wear protection for your breathing because the paint is truly a fine mist. I got the bottom feed but I will likely also get the gravity feed mechanism in the future as I think it might be a little more comfortable to hold / manipulate the gun for some spraying positions. I also recommend getting the whip hose as it makes it easier (and feels lighter) than pull the heavier hose as you spray.

Factory quality finish, but with some challenges
Once you get familiar with the settings, make the proper adjustments, and confirm you have the proper needle / nozzle size for your paint type, the Fuji Spray 2202 produces high quality results. The product documentation that comes with the product is bare bones. But, Fuji Spray's tech support phone line is excellent and highly knowledgeable. A few words of advice: - Make sure you have the right needle/nozzle size for your type of paint (or whatever finish you're working with). The 1.3mm that comes with the sprayer is good for thinner finishes. I had to step up to the 1.8mm for working with latex paint. - While the sprayer can be adjusted to fairly narrow spray, the product produces a lot of overspray that drifts far beyond the immediate spray area. Cover EVERYTHING 360 degrees all around you if you don't want paint to settle on it. - When assembling the sprayer handle for use, insert the needle last and put some light oil on it - Cleaning the sprayer properly takes a fair amount of time and solvent to get entirely clean; poor cleaning will result in poor performance or failure the next time you use it. While using a sprayer speeds up the finishing process and the results are factory quality -- the cleanup process consumes a fair amount of the time saved.

A quality machine with some market flaws
Prior to purchasing the Fugi Sprayer Semi-Pro, I read every review and watch a lot of YouTube presentations on it. For the money, I felt this would be the best choice. I've used this sprayer on a couple of projects now and have come to appretiate some things about it and question a few things. Pros: 1. Surprisingly quiet considering it's a small turbine. 2. The hose is very manageable without having to buy the small pigtail that some have. 3. Its fairly simple to clean, though I use water based prodocts 4. The instruction manual is good and to the point. 5. Fairly light weight compared to the old sprayer I had. 6. The quality is unmistakably great. Everything about it is top notch. 7. It performed flawlessly and both my customer and I loved the finish it gave. Cons: (These go to marketing not the ability of the machine) 1. Parts are not available near me, order on line is about the only option. 2. A 1.3 mm spray tip came with the gun. That's great for spraying thin material but normal stuff like polyurathane, lacquer and such you need at least a 1.5 mm tip. They should include this. At about $45 dollars a pop that would have been nice. If I ever wanna spray water though I have the tip for it. 3. The filter at the bottom of the pickup tube broke after 2 uses. I order a new one (5 in a package $10) but had to wait to finish a project due to it. They include a package of "wearable parts" why the don't include the filter beats me. Overall I'd buy it again just because of the quality. Quality in the way it's built, quality in the parts ( when I bought the new tip the parts came with not only the tip but all new nozzle, needle, air caps and collar) and Quality in the end result, an absolutely stunning finish. I'll be spraying some paint soon and when I do I'll update the review on that. Mike Update 6/4/2020 Well I promised an update on paint spraying and I have done a few pieces now and I can say I'm very pleased with the results. Getting the paint to a point where you don't have the "Orange Peel" effect takes some trial and error but once you understand it your going to get better at it. My recommendation is to read Arni's review. He is spot on and much more articulate with what he says about this sprayer.

– A Woodworker’s Honest Review
After putting the Fuji Spray 2202 Semi-PRO 2 HVLP Spray System through its paces in my woodworking shop, I can confidently say it’s a game-changer for anyone looking to achieve a professional finish without stepping into full industrial equipment territory. Build Quality & Design The first thing you notice about this unit is how well-built it is. The metal turbine case gives it a durable, shop-ready feel, and the included M-Model spray gun is well-balanced in hand. Unlike cheap plastic sprayers, this one feels like a tool meant to last. The 25-ft hose is a welcome length, allowing for easy maneuverability without feeling restricted. Performance & Spray Quality I primarily use this for wood finishing, applying everything from shellac and lacquer to water-based poly. The 2-stage turbine provides enough power to atomize finishes effectively, producing a smooth, even coat. That said, if you’re working with thicker materials like latex paint, you’ll need to thin them appropriately or consider a more powerful 3- or 4-stage system. The adjustable fan pattern is a great feature, making it easy to switch between a fine mist for detail work and a broader spray for larger surfaces. With some fine-tuning of the material flow and air pressure, you can dial in a near-flawless finish. Ease of Use & Cleaning One of the biggest concerns with spray systems is the cleanup. Fortunately, the Fuji Semi-PRO 2 makes this relatively painless. The non-bleed gun design means less overspray and less mess to deal with. Disassembly for cleaning is straightforward, and as long as you rinse and flush it properly after use, maintenance is minimal. Noise Level Like most turbine-driven systems, it’s not whisper-quiet. The turbine produces a steady hum that’s louder than a shop vacuum but not deafening. If you’re working in a small enclosed space, ear protection might be a good idea. Pros & Cons Pros: ✅ High-quality build, durable materials ✅ Excellent atomization for wood finishes ✅ Adjustable spray pattern & easy controls ✅ Long 25-ft hose for flexibility ✅ Easy to clean and maintain Cons: ❌ Not ideal for thick paints without proper thinning ❌ Turbine can be a bit loud ❌ Price is higher than entry-level models, but justified Final Verdict If you’re a serious DIYer or professional woodworker looking for an HVLP system that delivers a professional finish, the Fuji 2202 Semi-PRO 2 is a fantastic investment. It’s well-built, delivers smooth and even coats, and is easy to use once you get the settings dialed in. While it’s not the cheapest option on the market, the quality and performance make it worth every penny. Great quality and easy to use
I decided to learn woodworking its a new hobby for me and I’m a complete beginner. I had never used a paint sprayer in my life. I build a cabinet and wanted to try spraying it to get a professional finish. I first purchased a budget sprayer for under a 100 bucks. It lasted for 3 tanks of paint the gasket that seals the paint container became misshapen for some reason and would not seal the tank also the gun would spit a little blob of paint occasionally that required me to roll it out. I then doubled up and bought a 200 dollar sprayer it was also 100% plastic including the tip. I had problems with it from the beginning. It put out a lot of air to paint ratio. I ended up kicking up some dust that stuck to my wet paint. The worst part is when I was finishing up The sprayer would not stop it would keep spraying even though I had fully released the trigger. I was pretty frustrated then I saw this Fuji on Amazon on sale so I decided to take back both plastic sprayers and order The Fuji. All I can say is this unit is hands down superior to those plastic sprayers I was using. The easy adjustment to get the best coverage and pattern and paint flow is great. This sprayer lays paint down with perfection. It’s super easy to clean and the results make me guy that has never used a paint gun in his life look like an expert. I highly recommend saving up spending a little more buying this sprayer I’m a very satisfied customer

Excellent results. Expensive parts.
Sprays very nicely—factory finish level. easy to clean and maintain. A bit noisy, mostly limited to stain and lacquers and other thin finishes (despite them selling larger caps you'd need much more power for). Very spendy (and especially the parts) for something such as this, unless you were using it daily/several times per week to earn money with it. Hose is cumbersome, and other reviews state that the lightweight "whip" offering (also expensive for a plastic hose) doesn't last. I used a lightweight garden hose instead and that worked nicely.

Supposed to be excellent but stopped working after 30 mins of spraying.
All other reviews have been very positive about this product so I’m asking for a replacement and willing to give it another go as the reviews and videos I’ve watched are so good

Did a great job!
I ordered this FugiSpray Semi-Pro2 with Suction Feed for my for my brother in law Scott King. This is his review: “The build quality of the unit is very good and solid. The materials and finish of the M-Model gun are very good and the movement of the trigger and the adjusting knobs are nice and smooth. The noise level of the Turbine was not as loud as I had expected. There was no need for hearing protection like there would be with an air compressor. I sprayed an area of about 8’ x 10’ very easily. The paint was laid down smooth and even. The paint was an automotive type paint with a hardener and a reducer mixed in as per the manufacturers instructions. I did not use the Viscosity Cup to check the paint. The unit was easy to use and easy to clean after. The hose is thick and solid looking but very flexible , it looks heavy but I did not notice the weight as I was spraying. I would highly recommend the unit.”

Works great - know your paints
This 2 stage sprayer was purchased to do occasional cabinet finishing. It's first job was to paint a 15 year old kitchen. The cupboards were dark stained and clearcoated originally. After a light sanding and a wipedown with xylene, Zinsser BIN shellac base was sprayed on in a single coat. After a day, the cabinets were then sprayed with Sherwin Williams Kem-Aqua pigmented lacquer, a water base product you get from their pro-desk. This was chosen after *much* research and referral. *** Neither the paint nor primer required thinning ! *** This was my first time spraying for money, and very little previous experience spraying. The results were beyond expectation. The hope was to buy another few years of life for this kitchen, but now, it looks like new. The Fuji and the KemAqua laid down a perfect finish, with no orange peel or other common defect. That paint dries fast, and can be recoated in a couple hours. If you match this product with the right paint, you will have no problems. If you plan to spray household latex, you will be at or beyond the limit of this sprayer. It's just too thick, and heavy thinning will break the paint. It's a great tool, hopefully they'll put the switch at the top of the chassis one day, but no real complaints.
