This was a Christmas present and has been in heavy use since we finished the turkey at New Year's, so 4 weeks in total. The alligator worked very well, cutting everything from hard sweet potatoes to soft tomatoes, as advertised. The grid helps with the cleaning though tiny little bits do tend to get caught -- but no big deal.However, one of the little legs snapped off yesterday during normal use -- this should really not happen in a "professional grade" £90 device and certainly not after 4 weeks. From now on it will wobble and scratch surfaces if we can continue to use it. The window for return is just closed, of course. Very disappointed.update end of June: after writing the first review, I decided to complain to the seller. They contacted me about 15 minutes later with an apology, and within a week sent a new device. This has been functioning very well ever since. So I have upped my stars to 5 -- for functionality and customer service. Other than the little legs, I do not expect this to break, as it is very heavy-duty, very thick and solid stainless steel

Love this Chopper. If it was ever misplaced I would buy a replacement immediately! It is strong, simple to use to use and easy to rinse. Chop an onion in half and place in the Alligator, chopped onions in a blink of an eye, choose course or fine. Chops carrots into matchsticks or batons. Potatoes into matchstick fries or larger chips. Once you have your chosen veg in batons just put back through the Alligator and you have diced veg for soups. But be warned the blades are so sharp, so have your brain in gear whenever you handle it.Buy one, you won't regret it.

How did I live without this gadget in my kitchen? After getting totally fed up of runny eyes for the thousandth time chopping my hello fresh onions I went searching. I found this product. Well, I am so not disappointed. It is super incredible at what it can do. I love chopping my carrots, onions, just about anything I can fit in it really. I love the way everything is the same size and it is captured in the neat box. I can almost pass off the chopping as my own. One swoosh and its done. It is easy to clean and dry and put away. I dont think I have used it to its full potential yet, but I am sure there are plenty more choppable things I can puts its way. So far though, it has kept my eyes dry and for that, it is worth every single penny I paid!

This could be 5 star from me with flaws ironed out but I still love it and it saves me hours chopping. I bought it a year ago (Jan 2016). It still works OK. Things to watch. 1 take great care with the plastic collection box 2/3 latches on mine are worn so the box drops off sometimes if I close it too violently 2 do not put the plastic pieces in the dishwasher parts will warp (ok they do warn about that) 3 hard root veg should be chopped in half

Disappointed with this product. I find it difficult to use and it does not always chop cleanly. I paid £100 for this product and it has been a waste of money.

I had a plastic one, which eventually wore out.Sadly, the top parts of the plastic version don't fit the steel version, so you can't get any extra life out of your plastic tops that way.Other than that, this is a brilliant product. It doesn't have the weak points that the plastic version does. I use a lot of sweet potato, which is tough to get through. The blades struggle slightly with such a hard and fibrous vegetable, but that's more than made up for by the sturdy construction. You can really put your weight on it, which is great for me as someone with limited strength in my hands.

This has arrived yesterday and I was very impressed about the quality and design.I have made some soup just, and chopped onions and celery.I am naturally exuberant, but I realised when I was on my 2nd onion that I was involuntarily yelling "Haa!!" In glee with each chop!. My partner had to suffer me dashing in from the kitchen brandishing some beautifully chopped veg and thrusting them under his nose, at every chop.I cannot comment on the longevity of the product, but I was genuinely delighted with the chopping action! Very easy to wash up too with the genius part that slides up between the squares.I have genuinely purchased this and am not someone who secretly works for the company.UPDATE; It's still going strong and I love the tiny cutter for garl8c and ginger too.DO NOT attempt halloumi! ( foolish experiment on my part 😊 )
