The hat gets 5 stars. The packaging will get 1.I never expect S,M,L hats to fit as well as sized hats (7 1/4; 7 1/2 etc). And not every 7 1/4 will fit like every 7 1/4 hat. I ordered a large and it is sized pretty accurately According to hat size I'm on the small side of "large" and this hat fits well. But anytime you order a hat on-line you should assume there's a decent chance you'll have to send it back. That's just the way it is.As for the hat. It's a great inexpensive hat that looks great. I've had good comments every time I've worn it. I'm very happy with it and recommend it. Note the leather stap in the brim. Some probably won't like that.If your hat shows up dinged and dented from shipping, try gently hold it over a steaming tea pot and slowly shape it. It would be great if hats were shipped in hat boxes but judging from Amazon reviews many aren't. Mine definitely wasn't. It came in a box 2x too big with a few piece of bubble wrap thrown in. Not the way to send a hat. The seller assured me it was the fulfillment center's fault. They could do a much better job.

This hat works for me. Living in the Southwest; with its sun, heat, and wind, this hat works. It is one of the few straw hats I have found with a chin strap. It is well vented and I the interior headband is comfortable. I wore my last one out, needed another.

Fast shipping! Received package in great condition. This hat is very nice! Fits my head great! Like the looks of this hat. I like the smaller brim and the pinch front looks of the hat. Because of my kind of long skinny face this style looks better on me. But the hat looks well made to me. The band around the hat looks a little bit cheaply made but it will do. Received hat in perfect shape because of the great packaging by the seller. This straw hat is perfect for our southern heat here in Louisiana. For the price it’s a great hat.

Great Stetson, but I've never had a bad Stetson. I order medium based on the size chart including the size chart on Stetson's website. A hat like this always order a little larger since there is no give but you can add behind the sweatband to get larger hat to fit, however this hat fits perfectly out of the box. The only thing I don't like is that it is shallow so sits on top of my head, but then it is intended to fit that way I just didn't realize that before I bought it, still love it.

Hat arrived crushed and damaged. The VHS refuses to replace the item…… regardless of their unacceptable reason and excuses.

This hat is well made and has the perfect brim dimension, 2.5”, big enough to protect my glasses from getting wet when raining or snowing, the brim is stiff, and so is the crown, it’s supposed to be a crushable wool hat but I wouldn’t intentionally crush this hat, I love the shape and style as it is. The hat came in a solid box and was well protected with the plastic air bubbles. I’ve had some hats come in a plastic bag, not cool, unless it’s a ski hat. I am a 7 3/8” and I ordered the large, it is ever so slightly snug, if you’re bigger than 7 3/8” then you may need an XL. I wear this hat constantly and sometimes forget it’s on my head, the front of the brim tips down slightly, the sides and back of brim are pretty flat.I wear this hat in town or in the woods, looks and functions great in either environment.

Been wearing hats of this type for years and have to say this one is the best out of all the rest.The Stetson name alone tells you it's a great product and that certainly holds true here.High quality materials, superb manufacturing, and comfortable fit. (it also garners a lot of positive comments). Hope to have this one for many years BUT if/when it needs replacing, this will be what I get...

Very disappointed hat came in bad shape and most likely was worn before… save your money def not a real stetson came with some kind of brown substance on it and the package already had been opened

El modelo es el que quería, llegó en excelentes condiciones, un sombrero muy bonito y práctico para uso de vestir o de trabajo , la medida sugiero pedir un poco más grande porque viene justo , afortunadamente es flexible y se adapta a la cabeza un poco apretado..

Up close the hat looks and feel like plastic. Looks good from a distance. Not sure if it is really Stetson.The product has a defect. But the window for replacement is already over by the time it got delivered late, today.Very disappointed. Will Amazon redress the grievance?
