TilleyMen's Hat

I ordered from Philip Morris as they had the best price I could find online, and it was included with 2-day Prime delivery. Thought I'd ordered size 7 1/8. When the dispatch notification came through it said 7 1/4. Too late to cancel but thought I'd check the return options (returns are FREE!) and clicking on return for the order said to return size 7 1/8. Left a bit confused thought I'd see what size arrived. The hat arrived the following day (a day early)! It was 7 1/4... which is absolutely perfect!The hat itself is what I was expecting from Tilley having read numerous reviews on different sites on all types of Tilley hats. This is my first Tilley thought. The T5 has the perfect medium brim for everyday wear. It looks large enough to provide all round sun protection without being self-consciously over sized as I felt the T3, LTM6, etc were. The brim is stiff enough to retain shape though pliable. The hat arrived flat packed but came to life as soon as the crown was popped up. I'm already loving this hat!!

Been looking at Tilley hats for a while & finally went for this "classic" shape in Olive, size 7 7/8. Colour just like the picture. My head is between 7 3/4 & 7 7/8 so opted for the larger size as they recommend. A bit big on delivery but a delicate machine wash tightened it up just a fraction (and made it smell nice). Reshaped whilst damp & now it fits great & looks terrific. Cotton duck material is fine for UK winter, spring & autumn, but possibly too hot for summer. If so, tempted to get an LT5B for the summertime. Tilley hats are pricey compared to some, but the quality is there and you get what you pay for. Very happy with this purchase.

I have a problem with sunlight because of my green eyes I work as a tour guide in Scotland and wear highland dress. When I'm not working i wear a baseball cap but don't think that looks good with my kilt. The Tilly hat however is perfect

This is my second Tiley had of the same size. First one left in a taxi. My new one is tighter than my first although it's marked as the same size. In face I thought the size label was incorrect. There great hats but slightly disappointed with my latest purchase. Just doesn't feel right. Advice register the hat with the company.

Tilley hat's are the best, however, for some reason this one in my usual size did'nt fit, way too bigthe Quality was excellent as expected, but no smaller size in stock so no sale...Prime try before you buy is an excellent idea, very easy to return.

This is my second Tilley hat, which I got for gardening. I've had my other one for quite a few years and it's as good as the day I got it. They are definitely hard wearing and live up to their reputation; well worth the money.

Loved the hat. Wore it every day for two weeks in the Mediterranean and kept me cool. Most hats leave me sweating, this didn’t. Machine washed when I got home on delicate and was perfect. This hat will last a lifetime. Drawstring was great in the wind of ancient Thera.It is not a hat to wear tightly, that’s why you need the drawstring.

The Tilley arrived in time for cruise up the east coast to Heybridge, sun very hot,gave great protection.Well with the money, look at the hat as an investment. Supplier kept me updated on delivery via Royal Mail.
