Works where it hurtsSmaller than expected, very effective.Got rid of heating oil fumes and musty old carpet smell in around 24 hours. The room is about 15 sq mExpensive but it does the job and was cheaper than fitting new carpet etc.

Hands up. Who HATES that line? The generic get-out of anyone who has massively wronged a consumer. Surely we're all sick to death of hearing it by now, and we don't even register it in our brains anymore, let alone see it as a proper apology.So despite the fact my remote control lasted ONE WEEK for this product (both apparently brand new), babysecurity were not prepared to do anything other than look in their warehouse for a spare battery which they didn't have lying around, and this after asking me which battery the product required, by the way....they didn't actually know themselves "without opening a new product". The possibility of the remote being broken was simply ignored, and as they don't have a spare battery anywhere, and have "apologised for any inconvenience caused", I am supposed to just go away.Credit where it's due. The product itself works and is totally silent on setting number one, therefore can be used throughout the night.But for the price paid, to send a duff piece of equipment and then rather pathetically refuse to replace it, along with the complete lack of product knowledge, I find the entire experience leaves quite a nasty taste in the mouth.I suppose I should count my chickens, the purifier itself isn't broken, so I've not had to wear the inevitable shoulder-shrugging response from them for that.Yet.

I have had a number of very expensive air filters over the years. I was VERY suspicious about the Meaco as the claims bordered on the ridiculous however with nothing close in price or specification I decided to give it a try as I have been suffering from chronic rhinitis over the past months. FIRSTLY it's very quiet and in silent mode you would not even known it was there but for the blue one light (I turn the light to face the wall at night). SECONDLY, it really works. I use a very bright torch to check dust levels in the air. The day before I started using this filter, the air was full of particles. Within twelve hours there were just three particles in the 2 meter torch beam. Not only that, but I can actually breath through my nose for the first time in weeks. The big question I now have is whether I dare to open the window to let more polluted air into the house...

Looks good and works well. Not sure if it collects a lot of dust at the lowest (quietest) level though as even after several months my filters look relatively new.

I am a bit OCD about diesel particulates and Volatile Organic Compounds few air purifiers deal effectively with the latter.The Air fax claims to deal with VOCs - these do seem to clear smells from a room which would indicate they have potential to remove VOCs. We use two of these covering 4 small bedrooms in combination with a pair of 'blue air' filters which deal with the particulates (not the VOCs) and handle much larger volumes of air.Experience with air filters is subjective without testing but the asthmatics in the house seem to be doing much better.Filter life with the Airvax is excellent provided the surface of the filter is regularly hoovered.Compared to may filters the mouse is minimal - I run these on full whack 24/7

I can't recommend this highly enough, have now bought one for every bedroom - noticeably far less dust when dusting the rooms and I just vacuum away the masses of dust collected in the AirVax filter. Previously had bought much larger and more expensive air filter from another company which did not seem to collect any dust and broke down within months. By contrast my three AirVax are going strong, not expensive to run all day, and they really deliver. This year my hayfever has been so much less severe and we are all sleeping better. I also like the fact the AirVax is small and discreet, well designed and not loud compared to other air purifiers. Thank you AirVax, really brilliant product!
