Yes! A wonderful addition to my library
I'm a definite fan of Cole McGinnis series and, to a lesser extent, Sinner's series. I've had the audiobooks since they came out: Dirty Bites for several years and 'Other Sip of Gin for a year. While I've enjoyed the audio versions, I wished they would be in paperback so I could add them to my physical library of books. Honestly, I didn't expect them to be put in paperback since they are both anthologies of vignettes from both series. So I was excited this combined volume came out. I like that it's in a flip style. The only thing I didn't like was the sticker on the cover (something I wouldn't have expected from a book printed/sold/shipped from Amazon. I've only, so far, got a third of it off. I'll have to find some goo-b-gone or something to get the rest of it off.

I've waited years for this!
I don't read electronic books! I don't want the eyestrain, and to be honest, after 28 years as a Senior IT Tech, having to stare at yet another electronic screen would force me to stop reading altogether.I've purchased and read all of the books Rhys Ford has written that have been published in paperback. Why read Rhys Ford at all? Well, she's not only my favorite writer of all the fiction I've ever read, except Tolkein of course, but her writing is like reading poetry. She is SO good, that after reading books by her, all other books I read seem to pale in comparison, even other favorite authors. Which kind of pisses me off, I don't want to feel disappointed when I read other authors.Anyway, when "Nother Sip of Gin" came out as an e-book I waited impatiently for a paperback, and waited and waited and waited…. Of all the books by Rhys Ford, and for that matter any other series from ANY authors I've ever read, the Sinner series was the best, and my favorite. So, when I asked to have Nother Sip published in paperback, I was told that it was too few pages to publish as a paperback book. The Cole McGinnis series was also one of my favorite series, and yet I was told the same thing about publishing "Dirty Bites" in paperback. And, after waiting 2 years for Bound: ChinaTown Demons to be published in paperback, imagine my shock and surprise when "Nother Sip of Gin" and "Dirty Bites was published in one paperback book!I tried ordering it from Amazon, but after two weeks the arrival date changed to Unknown. So I contacted the author, who suggested I purchase it from her publisher Dreamspinner Press. So, I cancelled my Amazon order, and ordered from Dreamspinner. Then I waited with baited breath for my purchase to arrive. And waited, and waited and waited… I tried contacting them and got no response. Finally, after 3 to 4 weeks, the book arrived! (last time I buy a book from them!)The book comes with Nother Sip on the front cover, but then you turn the book to the back cover, Dirty Bites is printed upside down, so you can read Nother Sip from the front cover, and turn the book over and read Dirty Bites from the back cover. Now, understand, these stories, are not novel's or whole stories. Most are short stories, or shorts from the stories in the books of the series'. And, to be honest, I really don't like reading short stories! Yet, reading anything new from Rhys Ford is well worth my time.Although I loved the McGinnis Mystery series, the Sinner series is by far the author's best (in my opinion), and my favorite of any and all series I've ever read. And, not wanting to read Nother Sip and then Dirty Bites, I read Dirty Bites first, so I'd have Nother Sip to look forward to, to end the book.I thoroughly enjoyed the stories in both books, but was a bit surprised there were sometimes errors in the text. Not spelling errors exactly, but errors in the wording as if a spell checker automatically inserted words, where the correct wording should have been, in order to make the sentence structure mean what the author meant it to. This happened more so in Dirty Bites than Nother Sip. But, perhaps a proof reader might have been in order. The stories ,or sometimes snippet's, in Dirty Bites seemed more random as to the order within the Cole McGinnis series, but in reading Rhys Ford again, I was reminded of the stories from books, as it seemed I'd forgotten a lot as I'd read the series' what seems now, so long ago.The stories in Nother Sip of Gin, seemed more in order with the books of the Sinner Series, yet were new and full of discovery and laughter. I especially loved reading the stories from Miki's dog, Dude's point of view, as I love dogs so very much more than people. And, while reading Nother Sip, even though the stories were all about relationships, and had no adventure or excitement going on, I was continually shaking my head in wonder, my mouth open in an O, as I read the Pros and text by Rhys Ford, realizing once again how much I missed reading such a fantastic author.Yeah… so these books… these stories aren't for those who have yet to read the books from the series' they came from, they are however, for the true fan who've had the pleasure to immerse themselves in the reality of these stories by this great author.
