Do you have to put a primer on before applying this product onto the wheels?

Depending on the condition of your rims. I had a few scuffs on the wheels so I used a abrasive tool to remove this damage, once I had done that i used wet/ dry sandpaper to give surface a smooth surface. I then used the primer to coat the wheel, and then smoothed this to a fine surface. The primer gives the final paint finish a good key to adhere to the wheel . The preparation to paint is the most important part of the task the better this is done gives better results.

I want a gloss look to it after painting do you have an item gor that?

This isn't the one you need, this is stain. It gives an almost Matt finish. Look for a product saying its gloss so you wont be disappointed

I didn’t and found the paint is rather delicate. If I did it again I definitely would.
