GREAT ALLOY WHEEL PAINT
I toyed with the idea of buying some second hand alloys off an Audi TT or an S3 to put on my A3 as I wasn't too keen on the stock alloys that came with it and wanted the car to look a bit sportier. In the end I decided I didn't want to shell out £300 or so yet so I decided to touch up the stock alloys by giving them a re-paint and I'm so glad I did. It's worth taking the time to spray them properly doing a careful job. I started off by rubbing down my alloys well with fine sandpaper before applying two coats of a good quality etch primer spray followed by 2 coats of this paint and I finished them off with two layers of alloy wheel laquer to give them a showroom shine and make the finish even more durable to stone chips etc. Thinking back I almost wish I'd left them matt black as they looked good even before putting the laquer on though they do have a nice glossy black shine now. Very happy with the results - instantly livens up standard alloys for £30 or so in total (including 2 other paints I bought). p.s. the details say you'll have enough paint to do 4 wheels; I managed to do 2 good coats on 5 wheels (I did the alloy spare in my boot as well).

Wicked
Ive just recieved a bit of compo from an accident and was thinking of buying my Beast of a VW Golf GTI some new shoes to run around in but i thought hang on a minute my alloys are in good nik so i decided to spray the my self. The spray is so easy a chimp could do it the hardest part is stripping all the stock paint off down to bare metal. Ive used E-Tech products all the way through the process and im absalutly gob smacked at how easy and clean this product applys its self onto my wheels. no runs not orange peal effect just a smooth coat. I bought 4 cans of each E-tech primer, paint and lacquer as i only ordered 2 of each initially but after doing two wheels figuered out that 2 aint enough so to be safe i bought 4 of each but well worth every penny. If i have some left then bonus i can repair any scuffs. i have just noticed tho that putting my first wheel on the wrench must of slipped off the nut and dingged my alloys so its definatly not chip resistant but hey whats not any way ??? buy this you will not be dissapointed.

good product
if you are doing 4 wheels 1 tin will not do it get 4 tins if you miss any area when sanding and the old pint is still shinny the black will not stick to it and come back of when touching it did it to my 4 wheels last week had 2 tins and this was by far no way near the amount needed i have to get 2 more tins now to finish my wheels of over all its a good product worth getting but get 1 tin per wheel this way you can have several coats of the black and build up a nice finish on them and remember if you have big wheels like a 17 inch rim you will need 4 tins to get that pro look on them 1 tin per wheel you will also need 2 tins of Clear Gloss E-TECH Alloy Wheel Lacquer this is so you can have that high gloss look put 3 to 4 coats of this on to build up the shine on them

Very Reliable (Honestly worth it)
These cans are actually amazing. My corsa's new black alloys are absolutely banging. I bought 2 cans of the Grey Primer and 3 cans of the Black Alloy Paint. Both the Primer and Alloy paint are 400ML (each can). I managed to get away with using 1 can of Primer and 1½ Black Alloy cans for all 4 alloys. My alloys are 17 inches. (Amount of spray paint will vary on the size of your alloys) Method (I used) - 1. Clean alloys with water 2. Leave 15 mins to dry (if still wet after 15mins, dry with a towel 3. Sand down any chips or bumps with sand paper to make alloy smooth (I used P-60 sandpaper. Any sandpaper would do I think) 4. Rinse and dry with water (I put playing cards in the seam between the alloy and the tire before spraying) 5. Apply coat of Grey Primer 6. Wait 10 minutes 7. Apply a slightly thicker coat of Grey Primer (Make sure to hit all edges of alloy) 8. Wait 15-20 minutes 9. Apply light coat of Black Alloy spray 10. Wait 10 minutes 11. Apply thicker coat of Black Alloy spray 12. Wait 15 minutes 13. Apply even thicker coat of Black Alloy spray (control it, not to heavy otherwise the paint will form droplets on the alloy which will set) 14. Wait 80 minutes 15. Put tire back on car 16. Don't drive for at least a day if you can - this allows the paint to set (that method seemed to work for me) Have fun!

Not bad
So shook the can for a good few minutes. Samded down the wheels abd s9rayed, covered the scuffed areas well. Appears to covered well. Then sprayed all the wheels, looks good. So happy that they are nice abd black. Can didn't leak or become clogged.

Not weather proof.
Bought this to coat some aluminium brackets. Based on the description and intended use I thought it would be perfect. The brackets were degreased and keyed. Then 3 coats applied. Finish looked perfect. After one night of rain the paint has flaked off. Not impressed with this product.

Misleading in description
Not exactly as described and somewhat disappointed with the contents: a drum paint, not a wheel paint.
