Good features for a cheap phone but some annoying gripes too.
Bought this as an emergency phone. Soon will change for another phone. It does have some positive features, but also some negative ones that override those in the main.Positives- The battery life is good and it is cheap. You can set up to 5 different alarms and you can auto shut down the phone and autostart twice in a day.Internet is reasonable for a cheap phone, but you won't be able to access email as these days it needs a smartphone with more web technology installed, you can only look at basic web pages which is what you would expect.Negatives- The screen is quite faint even on maximum , obviously this saves the battery, but the small text on the home screen which cannot be changed in size- the time and date etc- is hard to read at the best of times and very difficult on any bright day. When texting, the background for black small text is grey and that can't be changed. This makes texts sometimes just impossible to read even indoors. The sound is not good, can't hear the mp3 well on a train, but you can make some improvement to this by adjusting the equaliser settings from it's default setting and pushing all the sliders up to max.The mp3 is basic and only accesses files in My Music folder. You can play mp3's from other locations but there won't be a playlist,, again it is a cheap phone and having a reasonable mp3 player is a good thing.Camera is very poor ,but it is a cheap phone after all.Having 2 MP is not enough, other cheap phones with 0.3 MP take far better pictures for colour and contrast., You don't buy a cheap phone for it's camera though..Predictive text is not good at all you may as well type each letter and keep the phone on that setting. When listening to the radio you can have the loudspeaker on, but as the sound comes out of the headphones as well it is possible to be in a public place and be unaware you are broadcasting from the phone speaker as well- double check the speaker is off on a bus!I would say this phone is not good for the elderly, due to the small text and faintness of screen and poor colour coordination on text,

The phone stays on for at most one or two hours at a time before turning itself off.

Not very good for those with poor eyesight
Well this is a basic phone so in a sense you get what you pay for. Big screen but small icons, so you might miss a missed call or text message as it is not obvious from the screen that you have recieved such a message. Not very good for those with poor eyesight. Limited customise ability compared with, say, Nokia. You can not change background colour for text (though you can change wallpaper display) and ringtones are limited and not very loud. Especially texts which I often miss. Long battery life is a plus point and the phone certainly will not break the bank and seems reasonably robust. However the major down side for me is texting. Predictive text is rubbish. I mean really bad! Common words like "quiet" or "catch" are not in the dictionary and there is no way to add them. So you are back to old style non-predictive input which is time consuming. Good for an emergency phone but a pain for everyday use. Volume on call/text alert very low
