You do need a bit of a height difference to make it work smoothly; outside of that the flow rate and power are enough to allow my AC unit to stay on consistently. **Q: If connected to a dehumidifier, would it pump the water 6 ft up and then 10 ft horizontally**
A: It should work. Mine's connected to the A/C unit, and it works fine even with about a 30'ft horizontal piping.

**Q: Has anyone installed this inside their mini-split unit? is it small enough to fit?**
A: Yes and yes

**Q: Will this work to pump Water softener recycling?**
A: I am not sure what water pump recycling means, but if you are asking if it will move water from one area to another, then Yes it will.

**Q: Do you need to use the wires sticking out of the top if using to drain a dehumidifier?**
A: There are two sets of wiring coming out of the pump. One is a three prong power plug, and yes you will need to plug it into an outlet to power it. The second, 2 wire set, is for connection to your furnas or dehumidifier if you want to have automatic shut down of the furnas or dehumidifier should the pump experience an extremely high water level. You don't have to connect these two wires unless you want the extra protection it affords. That is assuming your furnas or dehumidifier has this option.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice unit

Bought this to manage runoff water from some of my plant saucers and it works well. I drilled a drain hole in each saucer and plumbed vinyl tubing into the holes. Each tube runs to a 1/2” mainline which connects to the reservoir adapter provided. I really love that the reservoir is separate from the pump because it creates a ton of flexibility and it allows a setup that doesn’t have standing water in the plant saucers or anywhere else. I have pump outside the growing enclosure and reservoir inside. Reservoir is quite small but that works well for me and the whole setup works flawlessly. My only complaint is the pump is hypersensitive to debris. There is a screen in the reservoir but that screen allows clogging particles through to the pump. I solved by shoving some cheesecloth into each saucer drain. Pump is relatively fiddly to open up (4 screws) and unclog but very doable with some care. Runs perfectly now.
