Same bottle stays usable for years
I was browsing the Barielle line on Amazon because I've used a couple of items in the line in the past and they're good quality.I recently found an old bottle of this camouflage product and began using it again. The bottle was half empty. It goes on well and is as easy to apply as it was when it was new.I was surprised to see Amazon's note on this product reminding me that I purchased it over five years ago. I used it for a while and then it got lost for a long time. I recently found it again and began using it, and it goes on as smoothly as it did when it was new.I like that it stays on without peeling off for a good long time. It's not a high gloss, but I use a clear top coat when I want that. But sometimes I like the more natural look that the camouflage alone gives.

Men use this, too!
I was looking for something to help strenghten my nails. I like to buff my nails but that seems to promote tears that I never intended. This product covers my nails with about the same bit of gloss I get from buffing, but probably a bit more natural looking rather than glossy.

Perfectly fine as a base coat
I got this mainly because it doesn't contain polyvinyl butyral, which causes my nails to peel.I like that this has ridge filling properties and could conceal discoloration. I wouldn't recommend this for heavily ridged nails, but for average ridges it works well. I am an avid nail polish wearer so when I wear a sheerer polish I like to use something milky for the basecoat to cancel out any staining or yellowing. In one coat I get a natural translucent finish, in two I get a milky white with nice coverage. On my nails it lasts as well as any other basecoat, but longevity isn't really a problem that I have.I gave it 4 stars because it does have some weird tiny white specs that don't look like they should be part of the formula, they cover well enough with regular polish and they don't leave any sort of texture. But because of that I wouldn't wear this as my primary polish. I don't know if I have an odd bottle but I do plan to repurchase this when it runs out so I'll try to remember to update with whether my new bottle has the same problem.

Manicure Go-To
This is a mainstay for any manicure. I have used this particular brand and always get it from Amazon. Amazon’s price is the best.

What Happened to the Color?
Not sure what to think This used to be the only 'polish' I used for many years because it gave me the look of a French manicure - without the tips of course. My nails don't hold normal polish, it's as if they're coated with teflon, and polish peels away once dry. I found Barielle Camouflage which actually sticks to my nails and lasts about a week. However, I've just purchased a bottle after not using anything for a few years, and the color went from a beautiful nude to pure white. I'm looking at the picture of the newest stock photo as I type, and it looks like the original nude in a different shaped bottle, not what I recieved. I'm ultra fair and the original shade was a perfect match. Not much to choose from when you can't wear shades made for the largest market share. Hope this goes back to original formula.

Protects, Strengthens & Camouflages
Barielle's reputation stems from it's outstanding nail strengthening cream that originally was created to condition the hooves of thoroughbred racehorses; the side affect being that the groomers also developed beautifully strong, peel and split free nails. Now Barielle has a whole slew of nail products such as their natural nail camouflage.Barielle's natural nail camouflage does exactly what it sets out to do. Namely to camouflage nail problems, while the formula works to repair and strengthen weak, split, or peeling nails. My nails have always been prone to peeling and breakage. Ultimately, I made matters worse by opting to wear acrylic nails on and off in the past to cover up these issues. Thankfully, that craze is long over. After the acrylics I initially used Barielle's nail strengthening cream to nurse my nails back to health. However, I found that when I began to wear polish again that I needed a polish that would help strengthen and protect. Many other products purport to provide a base or top coat to protect and prevent nail issues; but none have even come close to Barielle's nail camouflage for natural nails. I could kick myself for not searching sooner for more Barielle products. To top the good news off, you'll find that this camouflage and repair polish not only makes your nails look a healthy natural pink; but it lasts for a week without chipping off! This is truly a great product.Barielle Nail Strengthener Cream 1oz.

doesn't work on my ridges
What do women need to cover up or camouflage on their nails? I would think the majority of the answers would be ridges. I bought this based on the reviews. I don't know what the others were trying to camouflage, but it couldn't have been that big of a problem. I have ridges, that run clear, so I have transparent streaks in my nails that just look horrible. This camouflage doesn't camouflage a thing for me. If it can't cover up clear areas, then I don't see how it could help with other problems. The Barielle Nail Brightener works better for me to cover the ridges up, but still not 100% at all !
