Gabriele Basilico: Workbook, 1969-2006excellent print, very good presentation of illustrations.there are some illustrations that cover more than one page (witch i would like to had been printed smaller and on one page).never the less this is a minor problem if someone considers the overall quality of the book.the collection of illustrations is excellent and the presentations is also very nice and interesting.due to the long period of photographic work of Gabriele Basilicothis this books covers includes inevitably different eras of his work and thus is not easy to gaged it.personally i like this book for what exactly offers.

Good book for university on the subject

This is a beautiful compendium of a wide range of Basilico's photography.I haven't found any other books that show such a good cross-section of his work.It doesn't include some of his more recent work like Silicon valley or Berlin, but does have some of his people photography that I hadn't heard of.Basilico is probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm a huge fan. I love his quiet, almost foreboding urban landscapes. You can really see his lifelong fascination with the urban landscape. He is more than a documenter of urban form; I find his composition and subject matter precise and poetic.The book design and layout is simple and interesting. Highly recommended.
