Great alternative controller for Worcester Bosch Greenstar boilers
We have a Worcester Bosch Greenstar boiler which came with a mechanical timer (MT 101 I believe it is called). When that timer stopped working, I was shocked to see the cost of a replacement - given that it's very basic and not particularly versatile - they cost well over £100 (I think they are something like £180 new!)So, I started looking for alternatives and it looked like this was the best option. Highly programmable, and only £38. So I took the plunge. I have read that the transmitter is easy to swap over - but I didn't want to open up my boiler myself so I asked my gas engineer to do it when coming to service my boiler and it was a very simple job.Configuring it was also easy - and it works great. I believe it to be a lot more sensitive than the old thermostar. AND I can easily set different schedules on a per weekday/weekend day basis - or I could even have different settings for each day if, for example, I worked from home on some days and not others. The wall bracket more or less fitted the same wall holder screws as my old one (or part of it, this is square, the other one was rectangular) - so it did leave about an inch by two inches gap to the left which I need to fill and paint but that's no big deal. All in all, I'm delighted with this purchase. Not only was it cheaper than the original one but it's miles better.

Good item
Quick and straightforward to install. Clips straight in to the front of the Worcester boiler and sits securely. A bit of a knack to using the touchscreen thermostat but I'm sure that once you've got the hang of it it's fine. Nice looking item

Works well
I had this fitted to my worchester bosch 28 I green star . It works faultlessly. The only small gripe I have is it says the room temp is 19 degrees but it feels like 15. But it does work well all I did was set it to 21 degrees in sted of 19 and its been faultless since. Well worth the money and easy to program.

Very easy to fit and get connected.
Very easy to setup, undo 4 screws, take front off of boiler, follow the instructions from there - 30 second job to fit the unit, then put the front back on. Pairing was easy to follow. Took one star off for the programming of the day's, still scratching head but will see if I've managed to get it programmed right. Overall, a cheap upgrade for a variable temperature controller, rather than the on/off that comes with the boiler.EDIT: Actually really easy once you get used to it, gave the extra star because they're an awesome bit of kit for the Bosch, I've saved a small fortune. 👍

A great controller at an excellent price!
We have a Worcester Bosch Green Star Combi boiler which was fitted with a time controller and basic RF thermostat. I'd been after a controller like the Salus for ages but they were all too expensive - particularly the Bosch ones! I wanted something that would enable different temperatures to be set at different times of the the day. This controller does just that and at a very reasonable price. This was as easy to install as other reviews, and YouTube clips, have stated. The most difficult bit was replacing the boiler cover! Both items were factory pre-paired so communicated with each other without any problem. The only issue I had was that the RC clock didn't synchronize so I had to initially set the clock manually.Since installation it's been working well. The programmable thermostat feels solid and is well built. The touch ring takes a bit of getting used to but works fine.Just a couple of very minor niggles:-1. I set the time zone to '0' which is what GMT usually is but the next morning the clock was showing one hour ahead! (the remote control clock re-calibrates in the early hours of the morning). After this happened twice I set the time zone to -1 and all has been well since.2. Up to 6 time/temperature changes can be programmed in per 24 hours. I would have preferred 7 or 8. We often feel the need for a slight temperature boost mid evening once dinner is done and we're less active so an extra programming instance or two would have been good.As I say, minor niggles in what has so far proved to be a very good controller.
