Kenwood doing a fine job on an excellent can opener
This is our second Kenwood can opener...all being well this one will do us proud like the other one did (7 years service)..It was used every day for this time with all sorts of shapes and size tins...It was actually still working but was starting to hiccup a few times so best replace it before it went completely leaving us with no can opener at all...I can't use the manual can opener we have due to my athritic wrist....This one is a bit taller then our old one,measuring..9.5 inches tall,but this is to accomodate the bottle opener feature and knife sharpener at the rear (not that I will be using this feature)..but it's there if I ever need them...so I can't comment on the funtionality of these items..but I'm sure they will suffice for the jobs they were intended. All in all, a great can opener...well made and a great price...Cheers

Strongly Recommended
I replaced my previous electric can opener (Morphy Richards) with this one, reading the reviews, it seemed like a good product. I trusted the brand name and bought it, very prompt delivery, good instructions and the product was very efficient, opening various cans with ease. It does take a little practice to get the can in the right position for the product to seize the lip of the can and open it but other than that, it has a lovely smooth opening action, no effort at all. Recommended.

I ordered this and was happy with the purchase. Keep it in its box out of the way. I like the magnate to hold the tin lid. Have not tried the sharpener yet.

Almost perfect
The opener works very well when you have correctly aligned the can under the cutter. However this tends to be a bit of a hit-and-miss process. Hence the four stars. The opener would be perfect if there was just a a guiding groove.
