No "Fowl" Turkeys Here
Gobble gobble! These are absolutely adorable! Yes, they arrive a bit...wonky. However, it isn't difficult to bend them a bit - using only your fingers - to make them stand a little straighter. If your fingers don't work, a small pair of needle nose pliers does a great job! If you choose to use a tool to perform a little surgery on your gaggle of waddles, be very careful. The teeth on the pliers can mar the paint, and too much pressure can detach the less-than-optimal welding. I also used my fingers and the pliers to lightly bend the feathers, so each one has a little additional character. Doing that isn't necessary at all, but I think it made them even cuter than they were when they arrived. There are two each of three different turkeys. All have yellow, orange, brown, and green paint, but the placement varies on the three pairs. A small tea light fits perfectly in them, although a couple required a bit of a struggle before the turkeys would cooperate. When I adjusted their wings and legs, I also used my fingers to bow out their heads and turn their beaks up just a little (that appears to be what a few of them in the photo have had done). The heads arrived pretty flat, so they appeared to be looking down. A very simple thing to fix - had I chosen not to adjust anything on them, they truly would have been fine...and very cute. I put remote controlled tea lights in them. The ones I had on hand change colors randomly, which adds even more fun to these little guys. I mention that because I don't know if the heat from an actual candle will make these metal turkeys hot - so if you use a regular tea light candle you may want to keep an eye on their warmth. (Between a meat thermometer for your edible turkey, and feeling for the heat level of these turkeys...I never knew I could be so concerned about turkey temperatures!)These should last for years, but the paint feels like it will scratch easily. I am going to place mine on our front porch on a piece of natural wood. Using Glue Dots to keep them grounded in the wind, I'm going to place raffia, small pine cones, Putka pods (mini pumpkins), silk leaves, and acorns around the feet of my little gobblers. Before I put them in the elements, however, I am going to give them a quick spray of acrylic shellac. I would be more concerned about their flammability if I wasn't using LED candles. The spray acrylic will increase the durability of the paint, but can *potentially* make them more attractive to flame - which is important to keep in mind. (I've switched almost all the regular candles in my home over to LED candles.)These would be adorable in a table centerpiece or other display around your home. There are enough of them to spread out, or you could give a few as gifts - and their colors make them perfect for any sort of fall decorating. If you are careful and have the tiniest bit of talent with pliers, it would be so cute to bend their legs and change their positions - maybe bend one knee so one of their little leaf feet can rest on a miniature bale of hay? (Just a suggestion.) As another reviewer pointed out, some of these turkeys experience difficulty standing when they first arrive - jet lag? - however, I don't find it to be as big of an issue as the other reviewer found it to be. And with the popularity of LED candles, there is absolutely no safety concern. Based on my experience, you will most likely have to spend less than five minutes barely bending their legs - it seems like their weight distribution is easily thrown out of whack...but what a small issue in order to have the cutest little rafter of turkeys around!

Check it all when it arrives.
Arrived in timely way. Looked briefly and put away until Thanksgiving. Discovered ALL of the turkeys of a specific color were put together backwards on the legs, so they would NOT stand up. So unhappy with those. The others were darling. My enterprising husband was able to put "knees" in the turkeys that wouldn't stand up in order to change the balance. They were shorter, but at least I could still use them.

Cute, whimsical, and flimsy
These are really cute. You may have to bend their legs and feet a bit to get them to stand up--make sure they are stable before you lite the tea candles! I love the colors and the bit of whimsy. Pretty flimsy, and not likely to last long, but hey, they are CUTE!

I hosted Thanksgiving this year and wanted some cute thanksgiving decor to place amongst the food that wasn’t too large. These are really cute, they worked perfect amongst all my thanksgiving dishes!

Disappointed!
The flame is covered in the wax and doesn’t shine very bright. Disappointed!
