Easy to use, with a lengthy list of analytes. The results have really helped both reassure us on our quality of water, as well as identify a couple of issues related to older plumbing (which we assumed we would need to replace, but these tests have confirmed some needs that we didn't originally consider)!. Knowing about these issues has informed us on what we can do to mitigate it, until we finish our plumbing upgrades. I think this was well worth the cost. The support via chat was very helpful in understanding how the tests were done, and on interpretation of the results, and on what items were tested from each vial / draw. Just be aware that the elemental portion of the test is only performed on the First Draw sample in the Advance Test. My only wish is that there was an option to have elementals be tested on both First Draw and Full Flush samples, in order to conclusively identify plumbing vs. source water issues within a single sample and test, and to show the reduction levels achieved on contaminants via the full flush. One will have to obtain an additional test or tests if one wishes to do an elementals test on a Full Flush sample. Of course, that would be additional cost to fully test the advanced list of elements on two vials, but it would be nice to have a kit that option. That said, the elementals detected in our sample are almost always related to plumbing, and we need to upgrade older plumbing anyway. This will likely reduce or eliminate the items detected, so we'll just retest again after we have the plumbing work done. All in all, the testing was very helpful and worth the investment. If you have any question about the quality of your water or on potential contaminants, I would recommend.

Solid option for water testing
It's a little pricey, but the results seem solid. It was easy to use and provides great information. We used several at different locations, and the results seemed to vary appropriately. I appreciated the ability to test for less common, but unhealthy chemicals.

Simple and thorough
The test kit arrived three days earlier than Amazon predicted it would. This kit came with two bottles and three test tubes to be filled by me plus two at-home tests which I completed on the day of the water sampling. The directions could not have been easier. The return shipping process was a breeze with the return overnight shipping label. My samples arrived in the lab on the opposite coast the next day. Results took two weeks to appear online but the results were phenomenal. I plan to repeat the testing in a couple years after I replace my water filter but I will go with a less expansive test the next time, now that I am reassured of the absence of certain toxins.

Comprehensive and accurate. But making sense of some numbers might need some further research.
Simple to use. Service was fairly prompt - about 7 days from my return date. Don't be spooked by some numbers that show some chemicals above Health Guidance Level (HGL). They set certain heavy metal level thresholds at zero (e.g. Lead, Arsenic and Uranium). My reaction was one of immediate concern. However, I checked HGL levels that Federal and State agencies consider safe for these elements in drinking water and found the reported levels are well within their accepted levels. Like all data, context is needed. Good service and I would use them again.

They Go Above & Beyond
The test was easy to order, perform, send back, to register and check results. It's also easy to download the report to email to water treatment companies to get recommendation for how to treat my water's specific issues. Yes, it took a couple of weeks to get results, but the wait was worth it. The report is very easy to read and I could click on individual components for more information. There's so much more information than what I got from the basic test the county health department does for free. It was also cheaper than the county's fees for the extensive additional testing I wanted performed. The report also included information about which water treatment technologies will solve each of my specific water issues. We have a new build with a new well. The report showed a couple areas of concern and gave me information to make informed decisions on treatment that will meet my goal of retaining minerals in our water. It still took me some time to research, talk to treatment companies, and create a workable solution. I ran into some roadblocks with treatment companies just wanting to do standard treatments like a salt-based water softener and an RO system but that wouldn't meet our goals or health needs. Customer Service was very responsive and was able to educate me on a couple points so that I could keep moving with putting together a solution. They even went above and beyond answering not only the question I came to them with but helping answer a deeper question that actually solves my issue even though it took a little more time and effort for the customer service representative to talk with others there and get a thorough answer to my question. I'm more than impressed (and I don't impress easily). I'll be using them in the future for my water testing needs for sure!

Don’t count on quality
Slow response time, didn’t seem very professional. I got test results that did not make me feel confident. Will look for another provider and see if it aligns.

easy to use & super helpful!
I ordered this water testing kit after reading some concerning reports about my local utility. The kit arrived in a nice, cleanly designed box and included an instruction booklet, two sealed testing vials, a prepaid shipping label and foam padding to keep everything safe. The included instructions were really clear and easy to follow. I chose to test my tap water first thing in the morning to test the "worst case" (i.e., water's that been sitting in the pipes all night) scenario - this and other choices were explained in the booklet along with their pros and cons. I took the samples and sent the box back to SimpleWater. I got the test results less than a week later by email. You can pretty much get as much detail as you want - the top of the result page has a nice short summary of the state of your drinking water, and then as you scroll down it goes into all the specifics like pH, hardness, whether there's heavy metals or other contaminants, and eventually you get an exhaustive list of dozens of potentially harmful chemicals, metals and pharmaceuticals that they test for and what concentration they were found at, if at all. I really wasn't expecting it to be this detailed! Luckily my drinking water seems to be pretty safe - essentially all the "bad stuff" was not found at all, except for a tiny amount of chloroform, which is still kinda worrisome. Apparently it's a byproduct of chlorine disinfection and it shouldn't be enough to impact my health, but since it can easily be taken out by a charcoal tap filter (this info was also on the test page, I didn't have to do any other research luckily) I'll probably end up getting one and sleeping a lot easier at night :)
