Great book to teach character traits.
I read this book to my third graders every year and they love it. It is the perfect book to begin the school year and to introduce character traits. If you are a second, third or fourth grade teacher, just buy it!

Magic in the classroom.
Working in an elementary school, I have a chance to see the power of a good teacher to make a difference in the lives of his/her students. While I too try to make a difference, I only see each class once a week, so except for the avid readers who I see almost every day, I often don't know all the challenges that students struggle with, both personal and familial. This light read involves students facing up to and learning from their weaknesses through the use of a magical closet and its magical inhabitants. I wish I had such a closet, sigh. I appreciated that it wasn't just the students who learned from the animals, but also Ms. Plum. As a teacher, I feel it is important to keep learning every day. I plan to use this book with my third grade classes as a discussion starter about behavior and how we can help each other be better.

Fun Book to read aloud
My second graders enjoyed this book as our read aloud for the end of the year. They enjoyed thinking which animal would have been chosen for them.

Wonderful story
My daughter is 8 and just loved this book. It was also enjoyable for me to read with her. There are books she reads alone and books we read together. Some of the books we read together can be a bit painful for me but this book was so well written that it kept my attention just as much as my daughter's.We all wish we had a teacher like Ms. Plum for out children who understand just what our kids need, when they need it and are able to instil the joy of magic.

Hysterical Antics
This book kept my animal loving daughters attention! At 8 years old it is hard to keep her focus and get her to actually finish a book. With this book she was rushing home to read it as she only gets 20 minutes to read at school. Probably the quickest she has ever finished a chapter book! I would highly recommend it.

It's an interesting concept. Taking children into the land of imagination. What might you find in Mrs. Plum's closet? Subtle humor for parents reading to their child.

Great 3rd grader book
My daughter really enjoyed this book. She kept asking to hear more when I would stop reading. Definitely a good book to read to your child and ask them questions about each students "gifts" from the supply closet. Also a good book to help encourage your child to read new words.

Selling more than MRP
The seller is charging more than the MRP. The quality of the paper is so low. Not worth the money. I have asked for a replacement/ refund. Don't buy the book more than the MRP.
