The filter was easy to install and works well, I did a test for chlorine in water and found the filter removes the vast majority of dissolved chlorine. The water smells better and I love the clear filter housing, it lets me monitor the state of the filter in real time. I bought two kits as they were on sale for $10 each and used the clear part from the Chrome & Transparent combined with the body of the Elegant Brushed Nickel kit so I can have a nickel and clear filter, as well as a spare filter cartridge.Installation was easy and a wrench is included if you don't have one (though you likely need an adjustable wrench to remove your existing showerhead). Some reviewers complained about leaks, I found the solution is to wrap the included thin Teflon tape on the threads of the filter (not the shower pipe, but the large threads that join the two parts of the filter together). Make sure to wrap the Teflon tape clockwise and you will not have any leaks.

It does leak, just as others say. I got it down to a drip tightening way more than I am comfortable with.I know some people are saying they don't think the water goes through the filter, but it obviously does. It is pushed through the center of the filter, forcing the water through then out the outlet. This is going to be nothing like RO but I need something to keep the sand and hard water from killing yet another showerhead. I rent or else I would just do a whole house RO system. I bought the clear housing so I can see when it needs changed. Hopefully this will be my last showerhead until I move away from this city with such crappy water.

I have well water where I live and it was absolutely horrible before I got this product. My hair was drying out and my face was breaking out. After making this purchase I can barely even tell that I have well water anymore.

After about a week the filter cut my water pressure in half, this happened several times in a row.

I'm so pleased with this spark pod shower filter. The main thing I like about this product is the elimination of the smell of chlorine and sulfur smell from my tap water. And I no longer experience burning irritated eyes from the shower water.The design is sleek, good looking. I like the choices for the filter canister covers. I prefer the clear canister cover so that I can see that the filter is working and when it may need changing.I purchased the Chrome finished model. Installation was easy. I installed mine in the middle of July 2023, it's still working great up to my expectations.I'm just very impressed with this product, I would recommend it to anyone. Customer service is also top notch.

Luckily I thought I'd try to unscrew the filter component BEFORE installing the unit. I couldn't unscrew it. Had I installed it first, I would have been in quite a pickle. I have returned for an exchange and hope the. next one is able to be unscrewed, or I will need to go with another brand.

I wouldn't recommend this filter system. It's extremely bulky. I bought the shower hand to go with the filter when purchasing and I'm now stuck with a filter less shower hand because it doesn't seem like the have the ultra filters are coming back in stock on site and Amazon. This has been for several months. So it's something to note. You'll have to buy an completly new system again to get a new filter. Plus the housing doesn't coming off to change. I was having issues with my water pressure and realized it was the clogged water in the filter housing that was causing it. It was definitely a was of about $100. But try at your oh risk.

Ok, so I got this because I realized I have hard water and it was causing a lot of dandruff and it also left white residue on my shower head as well which is matte black. After just the first use and washing my hair, I no longer have ridiculously itchy scalp. I also noticed that when I take my extremely hot showers, without this filter, there was a massive amount of particle fog and it took a while for my fan to get rid of it. Now, with this water filter, there is not a trace of particles in the air. When the bathroom leaves condensation on the faucets, there is no white residue. It has been the best thing yet!! I would HIGHLY recommend it for anyone with hard water and has tried every dandruff control product without any luck. It's the hard water causing these problems!!! Hurry and get this fast!! You won't regret it!!

The best shower filter I found in my life . If you drink the water it has a clear taste and gives you of pure drinking water. I recommend buying this for sure you can buy the filter as well after 5 months throw the old and out the new one easy installation

Ever since we bought this, we have seen a noticeable decrease in the roughness of our hair and our skin is clearer!I highly recommend this filter.

The media could not be loaded.  Took quite a while to arrive over a month so not sure where it came from but it got here eventually. Comes in a nice padded box and has a set of rubber washers with filter mesh and a small reel of PTFE tape, if needed. It feels well made with good quality chrome finish and a transparent bowl for the filter. I will be interested to see what this traps as other filters around the house have trapped bits of sand which I guess is from the water filter beds, we do sometimes get a chlorine smell from the water so it will be interesting to see how it impacts on that. The Q&A gives a link for replacement filter element but that seems to be an import from America and is at a ridiculous price so we will see if that changes anytime soon, at the price shown it would be cheaper to by a complete replacement filter! I mounted the unit at the end of the shower pipe next to the wall as when full of water it will be a fair weight, it could also have gone on the other end of the flexible pipe under the shower bar but is more out of the way up high. There does not seem to be any impact on flow on my mains pressure shower. Not sure what effect it will have on the shower experience I will need a bit of time to evaluate that. Dead easy to fit but I did need a spanner to tighten the top nut as it dripped a bit, half a turn did the trick. It seems that they come in a range of finishes black, grey, nickel etc. I like the clear bowl though as you can see the state off the filter. Interesting to see people also fitting them to sink taps.

I was last week old when I discovered my neighbourhood had hard water.My hair had seriously suffered, and my skin was feeling drier than ideal but I chalked it up to my own water intake being low.I bought this filter for my shower, with the first use I felt differences.I wet my hair - no shampoo - just to see how it felt.The water was absorbed into the strands more effectively than previously.Review Update, December 2023:The filters are great, however the replacements are very hard to purchase as they are usually out of stock.I bought a pack of 3 refill filters a couple months ago, but after I install the last one I will be switching to a more reliably available brand.

I like this filter and have bought two now because the filters I had purchased cant be used as its impossible to twist and open the pod. shame as will have to return the filters.
