Love it! I have a couple complaints but overall this vacuum does a great job and is pretty easy to use
I just finished my second run through my house, which is made up of carpet and tile, a labrador and a long haired cat. I love this vacuum! That said, I have a couple complaints that aren't game changes, but annoyances. I've been using another Hoover bagless upright for the past 5 years, which I also love, but I read that this one has more power so that's why I moved on. The power of this one is amazing! It picked up so much more pet hair than my last one did, and I thought that one had good power. That said, a disappointment with this one is that I can't really vacuum under furniture past a couple inches. The cannister sits too close and prevents going under much of anything. The other model was so good I could go a good 10-12 inches under a low sitting end table.I love the swivel action on this one. It's pretty strong and took some getting used to it, but I have it down now and it's really nice. I also love that the canniser is easier to clean than the other model. Very fast and nothing is stuck on the sides that requires reaching up to grab it (yuk). Now, regarding the hose. My other model had a longer hose and you could actually put it quite a ways without the vacuum falling over. This one has about 3-4 feet and the base falls over. Very annoying. The suction is amazing though, once again. I love that it comes with an attachment with a roller so I can use that for the stairs. The other one was great on the stairs as I could actually use the vacuum itself and not the hose. This is too heavy for that or me.Overall, I'm glad I moved on to this one, but I sure do wish that the vacuum sat out further forward from the cannister, or had a way to be pulled out. I like to be able to vacuum under furniture.

The REACT Sucks - In A Good Way!
Well, somebody had to say it, I hope I'm the first. This vacuum sucks!! But I mean that in a really good way. I have owned a Dyson Ball and lately an Oreck and this vacuum is better than either dollar for dollar. The reason I mentioned the Dyson Ball is because the Hoover React center steers like the Dyson. A very good feature. The Dyson is perfect steering-wise but carries a huge price tag. The Hoover tends to be heavier in the steering department but is manageable with use. I don't remember the Dyson as having this amount of suction however. I don't think that the Oreck is even in the same league with a relatively wimpy 7 amp motor. I always shop amps with tools like this because that is where the power is, the REACT's is 11 amps. And that is how we get to sucking. This thing has to have a thumb control to modulate the suction in some instances. Seriously. It has powerful suction. I have pictures in my head of little dust & dirt particles clinging for their lives to carpet fibers before getting sucked into oblivion within the REACT. When using the wand under the bed, I accidentally ingested a baggie of four 1½" bolts with nuts and washers and didn't even know it until I emptied the canister later (I wondered where those went!). Some other high points: The LED lighting lights perfectly for spying dirt on a hard floor, the conversion to a carry type canister for doing things like stairs is easy and quick, It's very bearably quiet considering the suction it delivers. Pulling the wand out to do high cleaning as you are doing floors and things is very easy and emptying the canister is very easy too. Nice long cord. I like the floor sensing feature and having the ability to turn it off if need be. If I was to pick nits (and say knock off half a star or something), I'd say that the cord material is a bit stiff, The steering feature is a bit heavy feeling at times and there isn't a place to store all three attachments, you need to decide which two you want on board. All-in-all a good, well thought-out machine. In fact I think I'm going to gift one to a new homeowner I know.

Overall a good machine
Overall, this is a good product for the money. I have a lot of hardwood and tile floors in my house, and this vacuum works well on both. Suction is good without shooting the dirt out the back and leaving it on the floor as I've experienced with other machines. It also works well on carpet and easy to maneuver. I also like that the canister easily detaches for mobility and use on stairs. What I DON'T like is when using the attachments on the hose, the hose is very stiff and cumbersome, so much so that I have to keep my foot on the base to keep the whole thing from tipping over when using the hose and/or wand. This would probably keep me from buying this product again.

Works great at first, but after a year you will probably need to repair something 😵
This vacuum was wonderful at first but, always a but. After only a year the hose has a tear and my wife almost never uses the attachments. Also the cord keeps coming off the vacuum. The automatic switch that goes from carpet to hard floor really does not work. All this being said it really does a good job vacuuming but my wife had to duct tape the hose🙄. For the price tag I was expecting a lot more. The vacuum we had before was half the price and died after 6 years. Another thing this vacuum does better with carpeting because we now have hard floors and my wife hates it. She says she can’t wait for it to die so we can replace it. We have now had it for a little over 2 years and expect to replace it in a couple of weeks.

Obsessed!
I love this vacuum more than any other cleaning supplies in my home. I had been using a $40.00 Dirt Devil vacuum that my man insisted we get over this vacuum that I wanted. He was the champion of saying we were only paying more money for the name brand even though I told him he was wrong. Anyways he was using the vacuum and said “this sucks and picks up nothing” so I said “hmm, maybe buy the vacuum I wanted.” Needless to say I have the vacuum I wanted and I got to say “I told you so” which made my day fabulous. I have converted him, and he now knows that Hoover is superior.

Short shelf life
I live alone in a small house and it really doesn't get very dirty. More accumulated airborne dust than anything else. I was good at keeping the machine clean including the filters. It gave up the ghost after only 4 years low mileage. Bought a Shark instead and I have realized how low quality the Hoover suction was and I didn't know it.

Great weight and range of motion
Very versatile for stairs, larger floor areas, and for getting around large furniture pieces
