Does it scan black and white film?

Could I take the Magnasonic scan of negative film and - using a 3rd party paint program - simply apply "Negative image" to get a photo?

Can this handle colorized 120 negatives?

I used this scanner to scan over 7,000 35mm slides, and it worked perfectly. I also have a lot of 2 1/4 (two and a quarter inch) square mounted slides, but they're too big for this scanner. I experimented for you, by removing a slide from the mount, and yes, it will fit into the slot on the scanner, so you might be able to scan 120/220 negatives, but there's not a film holder/adapter for that size. You'll have to slide the film into the slot of the scanner, but due to the larger size of the negative, you might not get the entire picture into the scanning area. I hope this helps. :)

What is the warranty period for this item?

One year parts and labor for the FS71 Magnsonic.

What is the internal memory of the magnasonic fs71 35mm film scanner? some product descriptions say 128mb, but a customer service rep said 64mb.

My instruction book says the scanner has 128MB of built memory available to store about 50 scanned images. The scanner will also accept SD, SDHC and SDXC cards with a max of 128GB. I have not found a way to tell how much memory is in the scanner. I have scanned over 1400 slides so far and it is great. The scanner has a counter that counts the number of scans but I wish there was a way to reset it. The Model FS51 has 64mB of internal memory per the specifications, Maybe the rep was looking at this one. Hope this helps.

Fantastic value for money

I was looking for this product for long. I had tried to convert my negative to digital format using digital camera and home made projector using various DIY publications and they didn’t work for me. Using the Panasonic converter I have converted around 700 negatives to digital format. Only problem comes when the picture is of snow or very bright objects. The middle parts of such photos show yellowish tint.The professional positive hard copies are much better.
