Great little modelling tool set at a very attractive price
This little tool has opened a new world of modelling up to me. I knew that I wasn't going to get a top of the range item at this price, but it works well and has plenty of tools.

Great product but found it a bit annoying that bits ...
Great product but found it a bit annoying that bits were constantly slipping and breaking. One of the circular sanding bits arrived mishapen so binned immediately. Still great value for general usage. Probably wouldn't recommend for more professional requirements.

Looks good, but totally useless!
The media could not be loaded.
Received this 7th April, it's now obsolete on 11th May, after only second time of use.First use was 5 minutes etching on an egg, so no heavy duty use. The shaft bent today while cutting a 1 inch square piece of softwoood, in under 3 minutes running time with no pressure on the cutter. And that's my lot, as the eccentric wobble now makes the tool totally unuseable.I've just ordered a Dremel 3000; I probably should have opted for the more expensive Dremel in the first place. False economy!

Mechanically sound. Electrical weaknesses.
I grew quite fond of my little Rotacraft. I bought it on a budget, obviously not expecting dremel performance..It’s been worked hard and has done tens of hours hard grinding and sanding of many car parts. Unlike other reviewers here, I’ve opened it up and can tell you it’s not badly made overall. Quite simplistic really. To be honest it should be priced at more like £15 and then people would appreciate it - it’s a rs385 motor inside only worth £2-4 pounds. I am slightly dubious it can actually reach 18k rpm. More rpm certainly would have saved me hours of work time. My problems as seen in the picture was from positive and negative wires going to the switch coming loose. I had to fit a new switch. The transformer seemed to develop an intermittent issue. This said I got probably 10-15 hours of non stop usage from it before any issues... that’s a year of very frequent use.I’ve got a dremel 3000 now, certainly a different class of tool but the dremel feels massively bulky in comparison. My advice is buy the dremel if it’s under £30 on a promotion. Buy the rotacraft if you can ever get it for £15. I will fix this rotacraft again and it will come in handy where I need to get access in somewhere narrow.

Mine was faulty..
I was disappointed in this product. It is too fiddly to change bits and each bit has to use its own chuck. I was pleased with the case and the selection of bits included though.. and the product worked well for a few days but then the speed changer stopped working and it was set permanently to full speed. I sent it back for a refund soon after this and got a dremel instead.I really think its worth the extra money for a proper dremel.. luckily I got a good deal on one and didn't pay much more than this one cost! However I would say that if I was just unlucky and got a bad one then its probably worth owning one as its nice and small which is perfect for those delicate tiny jobs.. unlike a much bulkier/heavier dremel. But if anyone else has reported the fault with the speed changer then I would definitely steer clear of it.
