G2 Concentrate – Slugs & Snails – 350ml (Makes 10 Litres of Ready To Use Spray)

Great to keep slugs away.

It works to an extent. But isn’t 100% effective.

Despite my gardening friends, not believe me that this would work. It did the job. You need to put the solution on your hostels in February as that is when the slugs, etc. lay their eggs.

It’s easy to apply and mix up the solution. I’ve had mixed results due to the weather being a mix of sun and rain. As the solution is being washed off. Also when watering you have to be mindful Of watering down at the base of the plant, again to stop washing it off. I’ve used this to try and project my dahlias and hostas. Some have still been munched. Had high hopes for this, will keep using and hopefully the weather will be more consistent so less going out to spray after rain.

Using the Corydalis in the image as an example of a plant that slugs enjoy. Last year I used crushed garlic to keep them off, this product is more effective and less hassle. I sprayed young growth a few times a week, and after rainfall. Initial slug damage tailed off as the plant grew and once it was flowering I sprayed approx weekly as a top up until flowering finished. I've not sprayed the re-growth after the post flower cut back and there's very little damage but I can't say why that is. There is an observable build up of resistance. I've recommended this to others and objections have been expense and ineffectiveness. It's worth the expense to me because I can afford it and because I don't like killing garden pests; I'm convinced our poisoning of slugs, for example, has decimated hedgehog populations. Re ineffectiveness, I would suggest it's not being used as per product instructions. If it's not working, use more frequently during rapid early season growth and always after rainfall.

It keeps snails and slugs off the beans

this really works i used the old product but they stopped selling it it was a little aggressive to other wild life . i started using this was a little dissatisfied to start with but after using it for a cpl of weeks found it really works to be honest to start with you will get slight nipples but they soon get idea and leave well alone now no damage thats the honest truth give this product a go you will be surprised

Well not sure what to say!! Sprayed my hostas and cana's as seen they'd been attacked by slugs or snails. They'd had 2 sprays as had some rain the day after I did the first one. Went out in the night to see if any slugs about and plants were covered in them!! It was like I'd sprayed a dressing on them for the slugs to enjoy them more!! Picked off around 100 slugs in half an hour from my raised beds so not convinced this actually does anything. Will revert back to my homemade garlic, chilli & onion spray for now to see if that helps.
