Oregon Scientific BAR208_HGW Wireless Weather Station with Humidity and Alert, White

This is the second one of this model I have had. The previous one was put out of action by leaking batteries after many years service.Although it is a little more expensive than some of it's rivals, it is well constructed and attractive and robust, the information is crystal clear and the battery life is tremendous, particularly in the outdoor sensor.Set up is east and the unit soon picked up the radio signal for the time after inserting the batteries.The temperature and humidity displays are shown for both indoor and out at the same time and I like the way the unit displays when temperatures are rising and falling. The predicited weather symbol gives a good idea of the weather for the next twelve hours and there is even a weather warning when conditions are becoming severe. Finally a light flashes on the unit to indicate freezing temperatures, this is always a handy reminder that the car windscreen might need scraping that morning. The ability to add extra sensors on is a plus, I also have one in the garage.Well worth the money.

Very pleased with this, easy to set up and works very well.It has a weather warning light for ice that has worked fine and also a warning message alert that so far has flagged up fog a couple of times.The display is clear and easy to read.The fact that when the clocks changed it did it automatically was an added bonus.We have had a weather station before and find this one far superior

I actually bought this for a friend but I have had one for many years. It's one of those things you never know you need until you come to rely on it! It has never let me down and enables me to know how many layers to put on to go running, whether or not to wear gloves, or just to go out generally. When you are toasty warm indoors it can be deceptive when looking outside and this weather station is fantastic. I think Oregon is the best and good value for money. I wouldn't have any other make and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

I purchased this product (clock / weather centre) as a replacement for an Oregon Scientific clock / weather centre that I had purchased 7 or 8 years ago, that had stopped communicating with the external sensor. It will not (can't?) find the radio time signal in order to sync and the base station communicated with the sensor for approximately 4 weeks then wouldn't communicate any longer ...... this is what happened to the original Oregon Scientific clock / weather centre that I had purchased 7 or 8 years ago, that had prompted me to buy a replacement. Very disappointed with it's performance!

I have had a few stations so far. This station work fine. I like the white gray finish. It does read the inside temperature and humidity as well as temperature and humidity from the wireless sensor enclosed. It can be picking up signals from 3 sensors in total. The station shows the same temperature value as my old station, so it is correct. It did pick the exact atomic time by radio quickly. A few notes however. Oregon Scientific could have reduced the size of moon information area as it s not particularly important information. So more space could have been for the date (calendar) information. One thing why I don't give 5 stars is the low contrast of the liquid crystal screen in daylight when I look on it from an angle below - e.g sitting on my sofa while the station is on the shelf. The older simpler model BAR626U has more contrast and sharpness of the information displayed placed in the same location.

Worked well for 4 months but outside sensor has now failed, This seems to be a common issue reading the reviews. I've asked the seller for a refund and will update this review when I get a response. A shame really because it's a nice weather station, very clear and easy to read and the sensor had a good range when it worked.

Bought this one for my daughter, we have two at home, one in the bedroom and another in the kitchen. Both agree on the outside temperature so are either accurate or both wrong!!!! Would recommend this device.

Très simple, facile à utiliser, fonctionne bien, le couplage avec deux sondes a été très rapide, les températures affichées sont en ligne avec des mesureurs classiques au mercure. Satisfait de mon achat.

A distanza di mesi dal acquisto posso confermare quanto detto fin ora. La precisione è un po' deludente nel senso che il sensore sia interno che esterno rileva una temperatura più alta di circa 2-3 gradi e l'umidità +5%. Tuttavia la stazione che avevo prima sempre Oregon e con un servizio di oltre 10anni era molto più precisa.

Lange war ich auf der Suche nach einer Wetterstation. Sie sollte gut aussehen, Mondphase, Temperatur und Funkzeit anzeigen - und natürlich auch eine Vorhersage abgeben!Dann fand ich diese Station und bin nun begeistert.Der Sender ist ca. 7 Meter und durch zwei massive und eine Trockenbauwand von der Station getrennt. Signal zu jeder Zeit sehr gut.Display lässt sich wunderbar ablesen, die Hintergrundbeleuchtung (auf Knopfdruck) ist angenehm orange gehalten.Mir gefällt das Design der Station, aber auch die Vorhersage enttäuscht mich nicht: bisher hat sie zuverlässig das Wetter angezeigt und den Verlauf vorherbestimmt. Ein nützliches Gimmik ist dabei der Eiswarner und die Anzeige von Nebel, Gewitter oder Dörre.Aber Achtung: wenn Sie eine Station suchen die Sie an die Wand hängen möchten müssen Sie weiter suchen: der Fuß ist nicht einklappbar, die Station kann nur auf einer Fläche abgestellt und nicht an die Wand gehangen werden. ;)+ + + + + + UPDATE 29.03.16 + + + + + + + +Gestern ist es passiert: nach nicht mal einem Jahr der Nutzung ist die die Wetterstation runtergefallen.Totalschaden!Gekauft am 27.10.15, defekt am 28.03.15 - der erste und letzte Sturz, Display gebrochen.Darf meiner Meinung nach nicht gleich passieren, das sollte ein Artikel schon mal abkönnen. Fallhöhe war auch recht gering - ca. 1 m. Schade...

Información clara y precisa. Buen diseño. Se encuentra a faltar que se pueda colgar en la pared, por lo demás es una buena estación que cumple perfectamente y con los datos necesarios .
