This is our first woodstove fan driven by the heat of the stovetop. We put it to use immediately and are in awe how soon it begins spinning as the stove warms, attesting to the craftsmanship for heat transfer. At full speed it's silent and yet pushes many cubic feet of warmed air out into the family room every hour. We love it. We highly recommend this product.

They work great

Fan works well. Nice and quiet, but doesn't put out as much airflow as I was hoping for. Still, no power required, and distributes the heat much better than the heater alone. I get airflow as far as about 4-5 feet from the heater now, rather than 1 foot. Much better circulation with it. Happy I got it. Might buy another one in the future, as there is room and a need for two in order to get better flow.

OK, here we go. I read all the reviews on this fan. I looked at probably a dozen others. What I wanted, #1 was airflow. Not so worried about how quiet it was, though I do like the silence. As always, I think expectations have a great deal to do with a review. And, for this fan at least, I think this is a big part of why some love this fan, and others hate it.All of these thermal powered fans have 2 things in common. They run whisper quiet, and they don't move a lot of air. It's just the nature of the beast. If you want a good deal of air movement, you will need to get a plug-in fan. It's a simple as that.This being said, some of these thermal fans move more air than others. Some come on sooner than others. Some are more efficient than others. And some can take a higher temp than others. Add to this that some pictures I've seen, the reviewer has the fan in the wrong place on their stove. You can't fault the fan for that.In summary, I love this fan. According to the data sheet it moves about as much air as you'll get from one of these thermal powered fans. Which, again, isn't a great amount. But it is what I expected. And it's much better than not having the fan.I've given this fan 5 stars because it's doing exactly what the description says it will do. It comes on at low temperatures, it moves a decent amount of air, the quality of the build seems to be good. And it definitely warms the room more quickly. I can feel the air flow out to about 6 feet. For a little fan like this that has its own internal power source. It meets all of my expectations. We will have to see how it fares in longevity.

My uncle loved this for Christmas- it’s small but is well made and performs well. It’s neat to see it rotate as the wood stove heats up.

The media could not be loaded. It does blow the heat a little bit. The fan does move and is quiet for now. A couple of the fins were bent backwards against the unit, so it would not move when I first pull it out of the box, got it as straight as I could. Not sure about the longevity of the quietness of it because of the fins. But it’s a cool little feature and I’m sure it moves the heat a little bit. You can’t feel it from more than 10 or less inches away though.

I use this fan on a little buddy heater to heat my garage when working out there. It defiantly makes a great addition to the heater. Just the little bit of air movement makes a big difference. And if you want to use a little buddy out side it is a must since most of the heat from them goes strait up. Just remember to KEEP the BOX. I made this mistake and ended up bending the blades up storing it over the summer. But, even after bending the blades back it still works good. After I bent the blades I thought maybe I'll try a different fan and a different way of mounting it to the heater so tried two other stove fans that both ended up being garbage.

I have a Regency wood stove with two external levels and an electric fan blower that is fairly loud once it kicks on. I bought this fan for the supposed silent running mode. On the lower level of my wood stuff, this fan starts humming at about 300 degrees F, or just before the electric fan would normally kick on. At around 350 degrees F this van us noticeably loud and needs to be moved up to the upper level where the fan blade rotation slows down dramatically. On the upper level, it seldom turns on or stays on long. I wouldn't recommend this fan to a friend. That said, this was first such purchase and for all I know, similar fans may all work in the same fashion. The best thing I can say about it is that it came with a magnet backed thermometer that I put up a few feet on the chimney pipe for monitoring exhaust temperature, so that's pretty cool.

Its so quiet and works so well. We love this fan, and would recommend!

Ich hätte nicht gedacht dass dieser kleine Ventilator so gut funktioniert. Gefühlt verteilt sich die Wärme deutlich besser. Eine Flamme mit dem Feuerzeug flackert bis ca. 0,5m vor dem Rotor. Das Gerät arbeitet absolut geräuschfrei. Das Gerät kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.
