KNIPEX Cobra High-Tech Water Pump Pliers with Non-Slip Plastic Coating 180 mm, 87 01 180

I did plenty of research and reading when deciding on a pair of adjustable grips/pliers, as I wanted a pair I could rely on again and again and keep for life. I'm glad I chose the Knipex and paid out for quality. Whilst they are not the cheapest set of pliers, their craftsmanship is superb. They are a breeze to use, machined well and I expect them to last a lifetime if cared for properly. The button adjustment is very effective in locking the pliers, yet is easy to use and adjust as necessary. The multi angle jaws provide good grip on a multitude of surfaces and the handles are just right for me. The coating is a thin and very slightly spongy material, than feels comfortable in bare hands and not too big when wearing gloves. I prefer slim handles like this, rather than excessively padded ones as it is easier to get access into tight spaces and it feels easier to transfer turning force. Would definitely buy Knipex again if/when I need another size.

Only buy good quality tools these days and Knipex are up there with the best. Expect them to see me out. Worth paying extra for.

As a maintenance electrician these are a great addition to my worksite tools.Really nice size which is perfectly sized for good grip.The lock button makes it stay the size you require.Lightweight but strong construction Highly recommend

Knipex really do make some excellent water pump pliers - I have 3 Knipex Cobras and they are all superb Quality. These 180s are possibly a good "happy medium" for general use. Worth a mention - I also have some Irwins that have served me well.

The best pliers I have. I’ve used many different types over the years. These are the best size and excellent quality. I have a few other cobra sizes. These are the best for every day use. The teeth grip like nothing else and never slip. Quick and easy to use. A must for every toolbox

I made the mistake and fell for a set of cheap noname pliers. But working with them was horrible. Don't be as stupid as I was. "Who is buying cheap buys double". Buy the best and work will be fun like driving a Porsche.
