I saw this polish recommended on a blog and was anxious to try it after skimming through a few reviews. Like others have said, a regular gel or shelac manicure seems to tear up my nails. So here is my review. I did have the polish applied professionally at a nail salon. They did use a base coat (which I just read you aren't supposed to). BUT the results were great! On ordinary polish, i would do a clear coat on top every 2-3 days to prevent chipping. i went 6 days with no chips and could've gone longer but i did a coat of color to conceal regrowth at my cuticles (nails grow fast) and a bit of wearing off the ends. Then another clear/top coat. I'm 13 days in and still no chips. I will be removing it tonight because it doesn't look as fresh, but not because it looks bad. (That's partly from my 'amateur' touchup job I did).also to note, I wasn't active the last few weekends due to an injury but I do wash my hands a lot during the day. I try to use gloves when doing dishes or housework if I have my nails painted.

I received the Essie Gel Couture free from PinchMe to try out. The color that I received was a pale sheer pink, which is exactly what I wear. I had my nail salon remove my gel polish and then I applied Essie's Gel Couture. The bottle design in unique and in my opinion, easier to hold on to, less chance of it slipping out of my hand. The polish went on smoothly and evenly, I applied two coats of the color and one of the top coat. I only waited about a minute between coats. The top coat provided amazing shine and wasn't too thick or too thin and went on smoothly as well. It took approximately 5 minutes for my nails to dry which I was happy about because unfortunately I am a very impatient person. The polish lasted two and half weeks, no chips at all! Color stayed fresh, I did not have to reapply my top coat to keep the shine going. All in all I am very pleased with this product and will purchase when available.

First this polish arrived before its expected date so that was great. Second I have quite a few Essie gel polishes and I've noticed each color has a different wear time for me. I'm very rough on my hands and I'm always doing something where they are getting banged around and washed 100xs a day not to mention my very bendy nails. Some Essie gel polishes only last 2 or 3 days before needed to be redone but this color polish, beauty nap is on day 5 and still going. I've only had one small chip and a bit of tip wear but am very impressed.

I love Essie polishes, they're always long wearing and have great color options. I thought based on picture and description that this would be a shade of green....it's not. It's a nice color...kinda gray-ish. I'll still use it, but was disappointed.

I only use this product on my nails. Beautiful shine and long lasting on my natural nails. Love love the colors and shine. No disappointment here.

This nail polish changed MY. LIFE. It seriously lasts until your nails grow out too much. A few times my nails still looked new but my growth was way too much so I filled in the bottoms with glitter polish! I have recommended this brand to literally every nail polish wearer I know. The sage color should be a litter darker - it looks more grey than green... still long wear and glossy!

I thought I was ordering a metallic sage color, but this is more like a yellowish brown.

The reviews claim that this would last about one week...maybe that's true if you just work typing on a computer all day, but where I work, it's chipping after 2 days...which is one day longer than regular polish. I was hoping for more, so I'm going to try a home nail dipping kit and see if that works.

What a super colour, so fresh. Went on easily and looked stunning. Would buy again.
