A good sturdy bike, a bit heavy but well worth the price and it is nice having the rack etc.

I'm going to split this review into 2 parts. One will be for the seller the other for the tandem.So first the tandem...I purchased the tandem as both I and my wife like cycling, we need the exercise but we are at different levels with regards to endurance, speed and approach. Typically I would unwittingly zoom off find somewhere to park up and wait. This was unsatisfactory and kind of defeated one of the main reasons for cycling together. So a tandem seemed like a good idea.The tandem arrived and I needed to put some of the bits together. All fairly straight forward except for a damaged rear wheel. Which needed to be replaced. This was all sorted ( more on this later) So, what do you get?So i know this is going to sound mad, but a tandem is really big! I'm not sure what I was expecting but I was suprised. The tandem is built with low level but good quality components and it is perfect for running to the shops, a quick exercise run or a day out. Whether I would undertake a European tour on it I'm not sure. But we have only had it for a few days...I'll update this review in a couple of months to reflect our experience.There are some niggles. The front fork flexes somewhat when braking on downhill runs, the grips are not much kop, the front handlebars are way too low for me. That is it!Overall the tandem is excellent value for money. The wife is happy and I'm happy. It is taking a fair bit of getting used to but it is really enjoyable.I purchased this from Parkers of Bolton. As mentioned before, when the tandem arrived both wheels were damaged. I spoke to Parkers who were incredibly nice, pleasant and helpful. On their advice I visited my local bike shop to get an opinion on what was needed to repair the wheels if at all possible. Turned out that the rear wheel would need replacing while the front could be repaired with very little effort. Now the wheels were damaged in transit and Parkers could have said " sort it with the courier " but they didn't. They couriered out a new set of wheels without ANY quibble. And what's more, they are an upgraded set. You cannot ask for a better service than that. I'm very impressed indeed.
