I swam in a public pool. Twice. The first time , I noticed some brassiness in my hair. The second time , it was yellow. I tried a swimmer’s shampoo. Twice. Malibu C crystals. Five times. Used Matrix So Silver( purple shampoo) many times. For a month, it seemed like I lived in my shower. I thought I was stuck letting it grow out. The yellow made me self conscious. As a last ditch effort, I tried this product. I was so psyched to use it. The directions suggest wearing gloves to prevent staining. I haven’t kept gloves since COVID. I took a chance- no stains. This product is like purple on steroids. It’s close to black. The suggested time range to leave it on was 5-15 minutes. I went with 5 minutes to make sure it didn’t do anything funky to my hair. A little goes a long way. I left it in while I shaved and showered. 5 minutes. ( did I mention the month I practically lived in the shower? My timing is now fast) No results at all! My hair was still wet, so I put some more in, put on a shower cap, waited 15 minutes. I was very pleased! The stain is barely there now! My hair feels so SOFT, and I love the way the non- stained areas look. I will continue to use this while my hair returns to normal. BTW, I found out that this staining can be caused by dissolved metals in the pool water, like copper, which causes a green tint for some people. People with white or blonde hair are more vulnerable. If I return to that pool, I will definitely wear a swim cap and wash my hair immediately. And then use this product!!

I love this. I use it at least 2x a month. I have gray silver hair, and this makes it shine and looks healthy. Really pretty. I use platinum. Super happy. Conditions and leaves really soft. I definitely recommend.

If you have long hair-worry not, there is ample product for one application. For starters, if one follows the directions, and leaves on for the recommended time, the product definitely makes hair color more uniform, and eliminates brassiness. Works much better than the "old tried and true" blue shampoos of all brands. It also smooths the hair shaft, making it feel soft. Now for the disappointing part I experienced: If you are primarily looking to add some shine and gloss, I detected NONE. Argan oil spritzes and sprays seem to deliver better results for me. That said, it might be an individual thing. All in all, I feel the product is worth the cost, but not the "holy grail" we are all looking for.

I used the Platinum Pearl. I have 80% natural white gray hair. The color gave me a very light lavender hue. I shower every day and I use the color every other day on wet hair while showering. People,young and old complement on the color. I dont see the color, I just see a brighter tone. Outside, in office buildings, many positive remarks. Also, only need a little on wet hair, so my tube lasted many more applications. On my second tube

I have always loved this product. But the last couple of times I have used it, it has made my gray hair look darker instead of brighter. Not sure if I got a bad batch or what but certainly not pleased with my results this morning!

Really disappointed! After spending eons in the shower. Not to mention the exorbitant price of the products ( 1 bought 5 boxes color- 1they sent was the wrong color- 2 conditioners, 2 Olaplex No 3, 1 Hair biology silver conditioner which i didn't t use. After using the white color, the Olaplex No 3, and purple conditioner. I got white top front ( picture 1), the mid sides are yellow, and the back is very slightly lighter. Picture of me with my cat is my old color vs what I ended up with is tremendously disappointing, especially with a name like L'Oreal. If you want WHITE HAIR....DON'T BUY THIS COLOR. Spend a fortune for a mediocre result!

I can’t say enough about this product! I rarely leave a review but I just had to with this. I’m 62 and have always had my hair professionally colored a dark brown, with blonde. I’m retiring and just wanting to cut back and decided to go gray which is what my roots are. So professionally I have spent a lot of money trying to get there which is a nightmare. My hair has been stuck in this yellowy color that I hate and so I’ve been trying purple shampoos, conditioners and masks which never seem to do what I hope they would do. And so, back to searching on Amazon and I find this product and went ahead and bought it…and oh my goodness!!! Yes!!! My hair is a beautiful light gray after one use! Plus I thought the whole tube would be needed but no, I’ll get at least 3-4 uses with one tube! Honestly, the color is amazing and it’s just like using a conditioner. I washed my hair with one of my purple shampoos that doesn’t take the yellow out…squeezed out the water from my hair, put this one step gloss toner on and used my shower brush to brush it though my hair to get it well distributed, I left it on for 15 minutes, rinsed and WOW! I couldn’t be happier that I found something that actually works!!!

First washed my hair with Paul Mitchell Shampoo 3 to clarify then got out of shower did the towel dry used 1/2 the bottle and I let it sit for the full 15 min. Application for me was a bit of a pain with having to get out of the shower, towel dry, let it sit 15, then get back in the shower and rinse but... for me it is worth it for several reasons. When applying I immediately noticed it cancelling out the dreaded yellow despite not being as fully saturated with purple pigment as say the No Yellow or other anti-yellow shampoos are. I am wondering if this product tones by leaving a "gloss" on top of the hair rather then having that purple color stain the hair strands? Unfortunately, if this is the case it would stand that the color rinses off after some time which is exactly what others say happens. I did use that clarifying shampoo immediately before application and my hair was literally squeaky clean but tangly af when I got out of the shower. It was so hard to not apply conditioner you don't even know! My hair is just a tangly type. Believe it or not, after applying the gloss throughout my hair I was able to use a wet comb and comb it through my hair with minimal issues which was incredible. No before picture. Picture attached is 2 days later after double washing my hair with with Moroccan Oil Moisture Shampoo and using Milk Shake Moisture Plus conditioner which is my holy grail of conditioners. Don't come at me but I showered at night and just left my hair wet to sleep in. I didn't use a satin bonnet which I generally use and despite that, this is my hair first thing in the morning. I didn't brush my hair or anything. I have hair I can not brush when it is dry or it expands. If you know, you know! The results are good. The pure white sections of my hair at my temples are not lavender which is great. It looks like the bottom half of my hair needs the focus so next time I plan to only use this product on the lower half of my hair and I'm going to try towel drying my hair better at the bottom as I am wondering if it was an application problem as my hair was nearly dripping wet at the ends when I applied the product even though I did towel dry. I did purchase the White/Silver too but I haven't tried it. I didn't notice any notable difference is saturation of purple color between the white and grey silver but I did notice that on the bottle of the grey silver it reads "silver anti-yellow" while the other reads "silver-white." I might update once I try the silver-white but don't hold your breath! lol
