Cramer K12211 Fugi Kit 3, Blue

Bought after reading the good reviews here and elsewhere. Was a little nervous about applying a new bead of silicone sealant at the back of my bathroom sink (previous sealant had developed black mould) but had no problems getting a crisp neat bead using the 5mm corner on one of the fugis. Looked at a YouTube vid before using. I found it helped the smoothing process by spraying soapy water before using the fugi. Got a really neat 45 degree join quickly and easily - very pleased indeed with the results and don't think I would have got the same finish using my finger! Important to remove all the previous sealant first - a Stanley knife and WD40 are your friends for this task. Highly recommended.

These are excellent. The set contains everything you should need for any silicone job. A few bad reviews on here saying they make a mess. Ignore those. Use these in conjunction with some big wipes and you will leave a silicone finish that is the making of any bathroom or kitchen job. Try it and you will never go back to the spint and finger technique. Also useful for removing excess silicone from chrome (shower doors) and glass by simply scraping it off in one pass and a quick wipe after.

Although this product has been dismissed by some as overpriced bits of plastic, please do not be led astray by such negativity.Yes they are only bits of plastic but they allow mere mortals to achieve a fantastic finish with silicone sealing. No longer necessary to keep going back and forth, adding more sealant and scraping it all off. No more trying to get a smooth, even finish with a damp finger. These are quick and simple to use. The results are fabulous.

Brilliant invention. Wish I hadn't been so tight and that I had gone for the full set instead of the smaller set, it's well worth the extra (I know someone who has one). As well as tiling I have used it to fill gaps in coving; was a bit concerned that the more abrasive filler would damage the plastic but it didn't. I was careful to remove the stuff immediately after use. Great for getting into tight corners.

I am addicted to this set. Having never grouted/siliconed before, I watched a few tutorials on YouTube and now can confidently grout like a pro. I've had so many compliments about the level of finish I could achieve with this kit with many people saying how professional the finish looks.So much so, i've been asked to do a friends house and I even bought a kit for my mum for her birthday.I cannot imagine why you would use anything else.Only comments to note - make sure you keep your tools clean - they become quite sticky otherwise.Make sure you pick the correct size tool (to cover the widest gap in the room - its annoying to get part way round and realise you needed a wider edge).Be patient - especially for areas that aren't at right angles.I've found that depending on whether im using grout or silicone and depending on the surface determines which way round I use the tool - it's good to have a few plays and get comfortable before you do the whole room.But absolutely buy this - it's so satisfying to achieve such a smart look quickly/easily.

This is a great kit, so good in fact I've now bought the FUGI 7 kit for the rest of the applicators, works great, makes life so much easier when siliconing, wish I had known about these years ago, a big thank you to YouTube for that.

Thanks to Charlie DIYte on YouTube for his eye-opening video on the best way to apply silicone sealant to baths, showers, etc ... using Cramer FUGI scrapers. They worked perfectly., so much better than using fingers, thumbs spoon handle and so on.
