Beginner's Guide to Cake Decorating

I would have liked more instructions rather than created beautiflly designed cakes

I have an older version of this that I've used for years but I lent it to a friend before Christmas and she hasn't been able to get it back to me (no fault of her own) so I used some of my birthday money to buy this one. It isn't quite as good as my original one but only because it doesn't have as much information, ie, cake ideas, run-out work and so on but it has very good instructions on basic techniques, it's simple to use and easy to understand. Very pleased with it.

When it says beginner it means beginner. This book descibes the tools needed for cake decorating the difference between pastillage modelling chocolate. Its amazing it opens your mind to the different ways in which to decorate your cake hey gumpaste today maybe fondant tomorrow, very informative

This is a good guide for a beginner having not just how to decorate but also recipes and amounts for a good assortment of cakes. The guide is clear and the photo's descriptive so that even someone with little experience can get results to look professional.

great if you are starting to bake celebration cakes, with brilliant guides of mixture to tin sizes ratios and how to make your own icing and fondants

Very good and simply instructions book. I try to follow the recipes but can not understand for sugarpaste what is the icing?? Can anyone help where can I find that and what this ingredient is exactly? Thank you. Very good buy.

Brought for my daughter who is just starting to get interested in decorating. She seems to like it and I will nick some of the ideas myself. A Good Starter book at a reasonable price.

Book arrived quickly, well protected. A great book for a beginner. It recaps on things I have learnt so I don't forget & some easy but effective projects to carry out.
