Bought this for my partner as he was getting tired of pulling his capo off and on and again - sometimes mid-song. This was supposed to be able to slide up and down the neck of the guitar to allow for smoother playing - it doesn't do this.The clamp is too tight, and doesn't sit straight which leads to reverberation through the body of the guitar and it sounds absolutely awful. The clamp itself is so tight that, it actually left a dent in my partner's guitar.Lastly, the 'fingers' are incredibly stiff and do not sit atop the strings as they should.There is a reason this is so cheap, it doesn't work.

Principle is excellent but the quality of materials is very poor. The screw threads which are used for clamping it stripped – on the day the returns window closed!It is useless now. I only used it around 5 times on visit to studio.Get one by all means but find a different seller.

Although I was very careful, the fact that this capo clamps on the sides of the neck is not a good design and there was no soft cushioning on the capo I received. Even though I was gentle with the clamping screw it bruised the neck where the corners dug in. I now have a permanent reminder of the experience on my expensive Martin guitar. I notice that now all the Spider Capos have a soft pad but I would never use one again.

The threads on the capo broke the first time I used it not very good item 😕

Size not adjustable. Will not fit your guitar. Nonsense product

I ordered this without looking at reviews or rating. After my order, I read the review saying everything was glued and couldn’t be adjusted. I thought I might have made a mistake buying it. After it arrived I discovered it is just very tight. I was able to work the parts that clamp to the guitar neck free with a little wiggling using a flat blade screw driver. Once I did that, I could work it with my hands and things loosened up and it works fine now. The individual string arms took a little wiggling as well and now adjust fine for string spacing. It is now easy to use, fully adjustable, and works like it should. I added stick on pads to the clamp. Better than “good enough” for the cheap price.

Me ha gustado por qué es muy versátil a la hora de cambiar de afinación sin tener que tocar las clavijas de la guitarra. No me gusta por que la rosca de apriete es muy frágil y se rompe al poco tiempo de usarla. Esta sólo la he usado 3 veces.

Do not buy this garbage! It doesn’t move, or function as intended. Everything is glued in place, so you can’t unscrew it to fit over any guitar neck. The thread screw just comes out, has no function. The plastic housing is marred up. It is basically a paperweight. The pads in the picture, are not on the capo. This is a cheap piece of Chinese crap.
