Nyko Core Controller - Wired Pro Controller Alternative with Turbo and PC Compatibility for Nintendo Switch

I'm not sure of how well this works with the Switch since I mainly got this for PC play. It's been working very well, there's no drift on the joysticks and the feel of the buttons feel solid and not loose. I mainly got it for the turbo feature of which there are three settings: off, on, and always on so that you don't have to hold that that button. The cord is nice and long as I have a big computer desk and was worried about the reach since I have it plugged from the back. Recommended.

This controller exceeded my expectations overall, and these are my observations.Build quality feels pretty good. The analog sticks are not as precise as the ones on the Joycons, they are a little less stiff, have more travel, and feel like they have a larger dead zone. But they glide nice and smoothly and work well once you get used to them.The controllers ergonomics feel great in my hands, a massive improvement over the joycons when they are connected as a single controller, although the button layout for +, -, photo, and home is a little odd. I would have preferred the + and - buttons where the photo and home buttons are. You use the + and - way more often than photo or home, and they are harder to reach where they are. For example, I've taken a lot of photos accidentally while reaching for the - button. One other thing about the buttons- the letters of the buttons (A,B,X,Y,etc) are all black on black. This is a problem for me, being used to the Xbox button/letter scheme- I still have to look at the buttons occasionally to see which button is which, and if I'm playing in darker conditions, they are hard to see. White letters on black buttons would have really helped.The D-pad seems pretty decent- I am more used to and prefer the Xbox One controller's clicky d-pad, but it works well enough. I tested it with Puyo Puyo Tetris and it registered fine, just maybe needs to be broken in a bit. The shoulder buttons are not click buttons like the joycons- the L and R buttons are the buttons more similar to the joycons, while the LZ and RZ are full triggers which is odd as they aren't supported in any games that I know of. The turbo button is mostly pointless- years ago there may have been a purpose for this, but I can't really think of any game where a turbo button would actually help anything anymore. The cord is nice and long, which is great.For games I tested: Super Mario Odyssey is a game that requires precision controls, frequent in game amiibo use, and motion controls, so this just isn't going to be as good as the Pro or Joycons, obviously. But Puyo Puyo Tetris worked great with the D-pad, and Fire Emblem Warriors works perfectly fine with it as well (you can always do your amiibo scanning on the Joycons and then use this controller to play).So overall it's a solid controller, especially so if you have kids and don't want them using the expensive official Nintendo stuff. Like any 3rd party controller without all the expensive built in stuff, this is best used as a supplemental, but probably not primary, controller.

Honestly, when it has came down to Nintendo, they have really hit a home run this year in regards to sales, all thanks to the versatility of the Switch. The system has delivered in sales and great games like Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. But overall, it has just been the thrill of playing great video games again after the disappointing performance that the Wii U showed for 5 years. But now with a great video game system, there is also the need for strong accessories for a system as unique as the Nintendo Switch. While Nintendo has had great controllers that worked flawlessly like the Joy-Con & The wireless Pro Controller, third-party companies are trying to work in the same way Nintendo has shown to have it. NYKO has had more of a shady legacy with make accessories for Nintendo's past systems, including the controllers for the Nintendo 64 and Wii. Now, they're new Core Wired Controller for the Switch, connects and plays as if you are playing the system while it is connected to your TV. Overall, it doesn't work as well as the joy-cons have shown with the Switch, and Overall, the grip feels a bit more out-of-line and does miss the mark, unlike the Pro Controller from Nintendo. Overall, I do suggest you await for a connected, Wired controller from Nintendo or just grab a few joy-cons and play along for the money. Honestly, it is the best way to get the best scores on you Nintendo Switch.Price: D+Setup & Comfort: C 1/2+Overall: C

They really feel good for playing, I use them (I bought 2) for Smash Ultimate as I am used to pro controllers

Primero, hay que considerar que este control cuesta una quinta parte de lo que cuesta el Pro oficial para switch, por lo que únicamente es alámbrico, no cuenta con vibración ni con función para leer los Amiibo; teniendo eso en mente, debo mencionar que el control tiene un excelente calidad, es cómodo al tacto y se percibe de buen ensamble.Los botones y sticks son de una calidad muy buena, son responsivos, no son rígidos y no hacen sonidos que no deban. Probablemente la mejor parte de este control es el Dpad, ya que ni el control Pro oficial ni la versión de Hori tienen un buen Dpad, este es bastante bueno, preciso, cómodo y sobre todo, no se siente que se presione mas de una dirección a la vez al usarlo.El largo del cable es adecuado, y el uso de este control de PC padece de los mismos problemas que los demás de Switch: los sticks son imprecisos, muy suaves y no tiene soporte universal.Ahora, considerando su bajo costo y gran calidad, definitivamente es una opción a tener en cuenta no solo para tener un control adicional, inclusive puede usarse como control principal.

Soy un cliente regular de productos NYKO desde que existe el N64 (solo imagínense), asi que se que puedo esperar cosas buenas de la marca. No hay que confundir; NYKO no hace artículos piratas, evidentemente si aplica ingeniería inversa y de ello diseña y produce componentes compatibles con la mayoría de las consolas. Algunos de ellos bastante populares.Antes de comprar este articulo compre el PRO CONTROLLER original de Switch (imprescindible tener al menos uno), después el HORI PAD que me parece excelente y mucho tiempo después adquirí mi NYKO CORE CONTROLLER y lo puse a prueba con un juego “exigente” es decir uno que ocupe todos los botones; en este caso el NBA 2K. Y el resultado me dejo ampliamente satisfecho.Solo agrego, si no tienes un control PRO original de Nintendo, no te recomiendo comprar un NYKO o un HORI ya que estos carecen de Vibración y Giroscopio, funciones básicas para juegos clave como Zelda, Splatoon, Xenoblade, etc, etc, etc. Tu primera compra siempre debería ser por un Original de Nintendo, ya como secundario te recomiendo este producto o el Hori, evidentemente el control tipo Gamecube es fantástico para Smash, pero eso es para otra ocasión.. Tú decides.Pros+Muy cómodo, más que el Hori Pad. Su ergonomía es punto en el que sobresale.+Los botones se sienten bien. El PAD (cruz direccional) me gusto mucho.+Cable de 3 metros, suficiente para no estar pegado a la TV y/o jalar el Switch y provocar un accidente. Confió que con un uso normal no dará problemas.Negativo-La luz central (parece led) no indica el número de control, se enciende indicando que está activo, pero hasta ahí llega su función. Además mientras este conectado al Dock, permanece encendido y esto puede ser molesto cuando no está en uso.-Lis botones ZL y ZR son análogos O al menos se sienten Asi), esto no es util para el Switch ya que originalmente estos botones son digitales y es extraño tanto rango de movimiento y puede causar cierta desventaja en algunos juegos. Además que se sienten algo frágiles. El Hori pad tiene una ventaja en este aspecto, ya que sus botones son más fieles a la configuración original.En conclusión y comparándolo con el Hori Pad… ¿cuál elegir?... por comodidad por mucho este control, por durabilidad quizá el Hori. Ya actualizare cuando falle uno de los dos.Por cierto el límite de controles USB que puedes tener es de 3 via USB más el Pro Controller.

Buenas Gente de Amazon!Les traigo mi reseña sobre este increíble producto, no le doy las 5 Estrellas a pesar de ser tan bueno para su costo y a continuación diré el porque de esta calificación.Diseño: El control esta perfectamente diseñado para suplantar un Pro Controller original de Switch, la ubicación de los botones es perfecta, solo hay unos pequeños detalles a acostumbrarte a la ubicacione de los botones +, -, Home y Capture que están en el centro del control y a veces al intentar oprimir - o +, puedes llegar a oprimir los botones de Home y Capture.Ergonómia: Muy buen agarre y distribución de los botones y joysticks junto a su material lo hace muy cómodo y agradable al tacto.Funciones: Lo reconoce el Switch sin problemas, la Función Turbo nunca la puse a prueba, la única queja que tengo con el Core Controller es a su función en la PC, pues para usarlo requerirás de configuración extra o incluso programas extra para poder jugar con el.Como remplazo para un Pro Controller es ideal, pero para uso en PC no lo recomiendo en absoluto es muy dificil configurarlo o tedioso dependinedo el juego y tener que requerir a Software ajeno para poder usarlo como Xpadder por ejemplo lo hace indeseado para jugar en PC.
