Vango Waterproof Odyssey 800 Outdoor Tunnel Tent available in Green - 8 Persons

Brilliant tent easy up in no time!! No ground sheet only in sleeping pods so we brought a Vango Stanford 800 ground sheet which fits under nicely!! Also purchased the carpet for the central area, we wanted more storage space as no porch as such so after reading lots of reviews & hunting around we purchased the Vango, AirBeam Excel Universal Side Awning- Tall, Herbal green- NEW (DT) which fits perfectly (as per pic), evidently the standard would be a good fit too but we wanted the larger size (more storage space with 4 kids!!), hope this helps out if your searching for a side awning!!

There are some design flaws with this tent with the lack of sewn in groundsheet in the middle section of the tent, the interlinked groundsheet with the clips attached provided does not work as there is no where to attach it to corresponding hooks on the tent. The other design flaw is the porch, the poles do not sit well on the beam and pull and stretch that part of the tent around the doorway, which is putting strain the door zip as a result these zips won't last. There are no accessories available for example an awning. After calling Vango they said Amazon didn't want any accessories made to go with this tent as this tent was made for Amazon. With all the of the above I would not recommend purchasing this tent, it won't last and its useless without being able to add accessories to it.The only good point is its easy to pitch with the airbeam.

Update! I have to say now after a year this tent is great. Easy to pitch, easy to pack etc. We also bought the standard awning and it’s fine. The lack of sewn in central groundsheet hasn’t bothered us at all. We use a footprint, then the ground sheet provided and a universal carpet. It’s been perfect in sun, rain and wind! Easy to pitch, great space either end for the kids to sleep and us. Built in ground sheets in the sleeping pods, not in the middle. We are very happy with it and we got an excellent price on here too!.

Easy to layout, works well with an older Vango Tigris 800 footprint and carpet. Simple and fast to put up. 12 minutes for me solo - albeit on a sunny day with just a bit of breeze. Slower to put away but dead easy to bring down. It's bigger to bag-up because of the material for the air-poles, but a great tent.

The ground sheet is not sewn in, the Centre is exposed to the grass, only the sleeping compartments are sewn in. Very difficult to pack away as ground sheet contains most of the fabric however this is like trying to package clingfilm. Contacted Vango to ask about best way to pack away however didn’t get a response. Used to camping and packing tents away, this is by far the worst I’ve owned. Really wish I’d paid to have it returned.

Great tent goes up really easily - even the first time we pitched it we had a fully functioning tent within 20 mins.

Great tent. Those complaining about lack of sewn in ground sheet clearly didn't read...as only in the pole version not the inflatable one.Centre ground sheet supplied although fit not world's best does great job.

Item not as described, No sewn in ground sheet, only at the bedrooms was the a ground sheet.I cannot see the point in having a tent like this it would be totally uselss in the british weather. I'Ve sent it back and asking for a refund but beware for return post via the post office at the cheapest rate was £39.64
