With so many published books and articles on the B-17 , it is easy to overlook a new one. However I think this one is different as it explains and shows very well all the details of the aircraft in a way I do not remember having seen (unless you have a T.O.). On the other hand it mixes this type of information with fascinating details of the receonstruction type of work.All in all a very interesting book for those with a penchant for the mechanical things.

Bought this for my father in law who remembers B-17's flying through the valley of Chesham when he was a boy.He loved this and it bought back many memories of this great WWII bomber.

Very good and well researched book

Bought as a present for a dedicated fan and a member of the B-17 Flying Fortress Society. I know the person will be delighted with this great insight into this amazing aeroplane.
