This headlamp has multiple settings, including red light, that are excellent for tactical needs.

The media could not be loaded.  The light is easy to use, I like that it starts in Red light low, it has a single switch that if pressed multiple times it will get brighter and a press and hold will switch to white light. It is nice and light, seems well made but I am a little disappointed in the battery door as this seems like it will be a failure point. I also am unsure on the weather resistance of it. It does not seem that well sealed against the elements. The low power mode leads to a long run time.

Solid headlamp that’s easy to use

I have used Princeton Tec Remix headlamps for approximately 10 years, maybe more, and recently purchased 2 new ones. I like them because the first press of the button turns on a low red lamp, and if held for a few moments changes to white. The first press red is useful for astronomy because it doesn't ruin your night vision. If I need white light a long press turn that on. If there are other headlamps with that feature I haven't found them.I also use it for general use at home, and the double press to get white light works well for me.The battery door on the one I had eventually broke, but it served me well for a lot of years. I highly recommend it.

This is a great headlamp that I have used in tactical and and recreational situations. The functionality is great, brightness great, battery life is pretty good and you do get a flicker warning well before battery failure. The weakness is the battery hatch. I have had several of these headlamps in Cr123 and AAA. The battery hatch always fails after about 6 months or so. The customer service people will be glad to send a replacement door. But if you are using this for combat or expedition work this is a risk. You can carry a spare hatch but this is a risk. It really should be re engineered.

Bought for land nav, red is very bright but very focused (not wide spread).My main point of contention is that there is no o-ring on the battery compartment to seal out water. Would not trust in long term rain use.

This headlamp is a good balance between quality and price. I wanted to get a red light feature for sometime and this one works well. The brightness is perfect, plenty of light to see but it won’t blind your friends!

Lost the previous one. This one has an added light strength setting. Highly recommend this product. Made in USA
