ZEST It Oil Dilatant/Cleaner, CCZ250

I've always used Turpentine in the past but someone in our art group is allergic to it so decided to change to Zest It. It works really well so no complaints either for smell or use!

There is no doubt that working with solvents and oil paints in an unventilated room for a number of years has done some damage to my lungs. So, years ago I switched from turpentine to mineral spirits but these are apparently just as damaging to the lungs - they just don't smell.So I decided to try Zest-It. The solvent works very well with oil paints and produces very little odour. It mixes well with linseed oil into a good medium. Most of all it is not dangerous to the lungs, which is essential if you do not have the luxury of a big ventilated studio.

As an oil painter I hate the smell of thinners so have this a try after reading reviews online and it’s fab! Lovey orange smell and low on the fumes for working in my studio highly recommended

My art teacher offered me some of this stuff as she did not want any of the fumes from the turpentine i was using to stink up the whole classroom as there was less ventilation in the room.Boy, i must say that this Zest really smells much better, and it works so well, i think it works better than the turpentine/ white spirit.I do not know if it is me or the Zest, but ever since i have been using it, i paint like an old master now. I think in the future i am going to order those huge tank bottles because it is really good product.

Easy on the nostrils rather than using non scented brush cleaners. Price was a little on high side though for what it does.

Biodegradable, lovely odour and great for artwork. Small quibble (discovered on Zest it website). There's no difference between this and Zest it pencil blend. And that's from the Zest it company themselves, who quite openly state they have two separate labels for the same product due to customer demand. Yet amazon charge more for the pencil blend than the oil paint dilutant.

It works well. It has a pretty strong citrus smell though. If buying again, I'll be looking for something less pungent.
