No, there isn't a splashguard included but I believe that the style of the beater and depth pf the bowl prevents any significant splash.

The answer is no. The glass bowl is deep enough so the ingredients stay within.

Q: does this mix small quantities? also, how often do you need to scrape mixture from the sides? cheers

I’m not sure what you mean by small quantities. I make cake eg a 7” sandwich, or a dozen and a half fairy cakes ok. Two egg white meringue also no problem. With cake mix you can throw everything in together and there is no need to scrape the edge during the mixing, the tool scrapes well as it has a rubber edge (like a windscreen wiper). It’s a brilliant piece of kit, I am totally impressed. You will find the glass bowl is a bit heavy, but the advantage is that it lets the light through and you can see what you are mixing.

Q: Does the machine move around when kneading dough?

no, mine doesn't. I've made large quantities of dough and it has stayed put and coped well!
