I would recommend hand washing any flat to dry. I haven’t read the actual washing instructions but I hand wash all my sweaters.

Q: Can this be worn backwards without looking silly or being uncomfortable?

TBH I never thought of putting it on backward. I haven’t tried it that way. I have only worn it once bc I find it a little itchy, so I have to wear a turtleneck under it…. Therefore I only wear it on a very cold day.
