Humbucker Pickup for Gibson Les Paul Replacement Gold (Pack of 2)

Honestly really good sounding pickups.And turns out mine was Zebra when I took the covers off.Yes, they may be a couple of blemishes on the finish but look at the price.

I fitted these using a separately order full wire harness kit (recommended). The pick ups come with an array of wires connected but you only need to use two of them. It’s easy to google for the instructions on what connects to what. Two wires have to be joined at the pick up but these are already done so no need to worry about them. After that the two remaining coloured wires have to be connected onto the tone and volume pots. Make sure you get them the right way around! The mountings ensure you locate them in the right place (ie bridge and neck respectively).

These are surprisingly good for the price. Just be warned that you may get a microphonic set and need to wax pot them yourself to avoid screeching feedback. Easy to do though. The plastic surrounds are poor but for direct mount, for the price, they are great value.

Big uncomfortable plastic mounts to pickups. Makes playing uncomfortable. Also too high, strings touch the pickup ! A good move would be to round off the corners and make them low profile. I should have researched sizing more thoroughly. Also wiring is for 2 coils per pickup so I just soldered all onto the live peg on pots. Doesn't sound as good as the 40 year olds I took off. Still I'm no Todd Rundgren so who cares ?

Can't comment on sound quality yet. But looks wise one of the pick ups had small scratches, dents and discolouration to the front gold plating part. Doesn't look very appealing. But dissapointed

Very, very nice. Excellent tones and easy to install. Make sure taller pickup goes in at the bridge.

Very very good worth double the price 100% happy.
