Kids Loved It!
My kids personally love this! They are obsessed with animals and hair products so this was a double winner for us! Dosent walk as much as I would have liked so that’s why the 4 stars but everything else is great in terms of toys!

My 6 year old niece loved it
My niece wanted a puppy for Christmas, so her mom picked this one out for her. It arrived quickly and I purchased batteries from a store nearby so she could play with it as soon as she unwrapped it. We needed a small screwdriver to open the battery area, but the puppy was walking around in minutes. My niece liked the “accessories”, too.

Fun
Great value for the money, great toy and takes a beating kid was a little rough and I was concerned of it bouncing down the stairs but held up strong and didn’t break.

Didn’t work from day 1
I bought this early in March for my daughter’s birthday (late March). She was so excited to play with it, we put the batteries in and the thing never worked. Now past the return window and stuck with a crap toy and a disappointed 6 year old

Cute but repairable Quality Control issues
I would give this 5 stars but it has some quality control issues that the manufacturer should address. I bought this for a toddler grandson who is afraid of dogs and I thought this toy would be a good segway into resolving that fear. Being that little tykes get into all sorts of mess, a great draw for me is this toy has a cover that is removable and washable! I have read the negative reviews some have experienced in that the toy stops working in very short order and I thought heavily about making this purchase. When Amazon presented it at a severely stark discount I said, "what the hey, give it a try" and bought one. The little pup arrived the very next day. Apprehensively, I opened it, read the directions, put in batteries, flipped the switch to 'on' and the little guy sprung to life barking, mewing, whining and little legs moving. Great! I put it on the floor clapped my hands and it took just one step and - similar to other purchasers - submitted to simply barking, whining and mewing but not moving at all. So, I attached the leash, pushed the leash button and still all I got from the little pup was barking, mewing, whining and the mechanical sounds of its internal gears but no movement. Okay, this sucks, I thought. I guess this is a return for a refund or exchange but first I wanted to see how easy it would be to remove the coat before deciding. Well, when I removed the coat, I discovered the pup has an access window cut into it to access a tiny pulley wheel for threading an automation band. The access window was covered with a piece of clear tape allowing visibility of the wheel. As I looked at that wheel I noticed a small white band was wandering loose near it. Hmmm, pulley wheel, loose band, mechanical sounds but no movement. Seems this may be the issue of "broke" when the thing makes barks and mechanical groans but no animation. That band connects the pulley wheels and gives the pup motion. Seems the QC folks do not test these with any longevity before boxing, shipping and selling. Now here is the repair issue: if you re-thread that band on the small pulley wheels correctly, the pup is alive and moving again! However, the band must also be correctly placed around a larger limeish green pulley wheel about an inch to the right that does not have an access window. At this point you have to decide if you want to return the toy as broken/defective or try to fix it yourself (it's a little tricky). I decided to fix it but I needed access to that green wheel. They did not design an access window over the green wheel. I thought abought dismantling the little guy but decided against that. So, I first tried using a paper clip to re-thread the band which was problematic because there is no access window over the green wheel that allows a visual and the space is too small to guess the proper location. I figured if this is a persistent problem with the toy, the band slipping off will happen again and there should be an access window to make this an easy repair. I carefully drilled two 3/8 inch holes slightly right of the green wheel - being very careful to not allow my drill bit to touch the wheel and damage it. Now having access to the green wheel and the tiny white wheel, I re-threaded the band around both. After re-threading, I turned the power back on and the little guy, sans its doggy coat, happily barked, moaned and most importantly walked, with its happy little spring tail wagging as it was designed. I re-taped the original access window, put tape across my newly created access window, re-dressed the little robot in its doggy costume and gave it another test. Works like a charm. So, if you buy one of these and you are bracing for a similar problem, or bought one of these and experienced a similar issue, there is a relatively simple fix. Now I am looking forward to my grandson's reaction!BTW: Jimate, unsolicited, was extremely responsive to this review and offered a choice of either refund or replacement. As I informed neither was necessary, since already made repair and had an operational pup, they very graciously sent me a new one anyway! The replacement has no mechanical issues and now we two cute little mechanical yippers!

Super Cute
My girls loved this cat and the baby kitties. The audio is cute and funny. You have the option to turn it off at night so they don't accidentally cuddle it and alarm themselves when the cat starts singing Happy Birthday.
