SPARES2GO Fan Motor Oven Unit compatible with Rangemaster 55 90 110 Classic Elan Elite Excel Kitchener (38w, 230-240v)

I struggled finding a fan motor for our Rangemaster 90 main oven off other websites, as I couldn't find our exact cooker model number. This looked like the right thing, so I took off the old fan and from the picture it appeared almost identical.I watched a few 'how to change an oven fan motor' video's, and followed the typical repair procedure. I also worked out why the old fan motor failed. It became very sticky/stiff on it's bearing. On closer inspection, condensate from the oven vent pipe was occasionally dripping in the area of the fan motor spindle - a Rangemaster design fault! When re-assembling, I used fail tape over the outside oven motor casing at the rear to make an 'umbrella' so if there was any further drips of condensate, then if would make it's way away from the motor. The oven of our beautiful 18 year old Rangemaster 90 cooker works as new.

This worked perfectly on our range master nexus oven.

When I fit and connected it , it didn’t work I checked it out and the stator windings weren’t connectedI didn’t send it back as we were stuck so I made one good fan out of two using the rotor and bearings from the new one and the stator windings from the old one because it was only the bearings that were worn on the old oneI think it was just bad luck that it had got past quality control as it seems to be well madeThe one I made out of two is working perfectly so I’m putting it down to bad luck
