Friends: Complete Season 4 - New Edition

An excellent series of Friends, which sees Ross rushing into marriage with a virtual stranger and the girls in the group being somewhat envious and making themselves feel better by hiring wedding dresses to wear while watching TV. Phoebe very generously allows her brother and his wife to borrow her uterus, Rachel and Ross very briefly reunite just to split up again quite acrimoniously ("FYI it's NOT common, it DOESN'T happen to everybody, and it IS a big deal!") and Chandler finds himself in a compromising situation with Rachel's scary boss. Some of the humour and casting have been criticised in recent years so it's worth remembering that like all 30-year-old comedies, some of the jokes are to be considered 'of their time'.

After taking a while to think about whether or not it was worth buying this DVD, i finally thought, why not? Now having received it, there are no reasons Not to buy it! It is so good, with extra scenes that had to be cut out for advertising, and special features! These special features are on set with the friends in london and the rembrants singing the famous theme tune to the series. I love this series so much, there is not a bad word to be said about it. My favourite episodes are "The One With The Free porn", "The One With the Cuffs", "The One With All the Wedding Dresses", and of course, "The One With Ross' wedding" Overall An Excellent Series worth Every Penny.... BUY IT NOW!

Great series which seems to have a come back. This version is the 4:3 view which is how we watched it over 20 years ago.

This series has been extremely funny from the very beginning, and if anything it seems to get funnier and I'm sure will continue to be very funny to the end.

Excellent fourth season of a show that I wish had never ended! I love that this DVD contains all of the deleted scenes not found on streaming or re-run versions of the show. Excellent quality considering when this was originally filmed and I can wholeheartedly recommend adding this to your collection if you are a die-hard Friends fan such as myself!

Season 4 is often considered one of the strongest seasons of Friends, and after rewatching it, it's easy to see why. The show had fully found its footing by this point, with the cast delivering some of the best comedic performances of the entire series while still giving the characters room to grow. This season is packed with memorable storylines and classic episodes. Phoebe's decision to become a surrogate for her brother leads to both touching and hilarious moments. Chandler's struggles after developing feelings for Joey's girlfriend create some surprisingly heartfelt episodes, including the unforgettable Thanksgiving episode where he spends the holiday in a box. Meanwhile, Ross's whirlwind romance with Emily builds toward one of the most iconic season finales in sitcom history. Many fan-favorite moments come from this season. The apartment-switch storyline remains one of the funniest running gags in the series, and Rachel's pursuit of Joshua provides plenty of laughs. The writers did an excellent job balancing the ensemble cast so that every character gets meaningful stories and memorable moments. The London finale alone is worth owning the set for. The guest appearances are excellent, the setting feels fresh, and the final moments set up major developments that would shape the series moving forward. It's one of the show's most talked-about episodes for good reason. The DVD release includes bonus features that longtime fans will enjoy, including audio commentaries, cast biographies, documentaries, guest interviews, and trivia content.
