Q: I am looking for something that is going to absorb the sweat. Is this material a good fit or would you suggest a different one?

This is a very warm item.. but could not answer about it absorbing sweat.. as I were it 12hrs a night in a cold warehouse. And it keeps me warm

No. There is no way to tighten or loosen this neck tube. It’s pretty fitted and has a fair amount of stretch, so it should fit virtually anyone.

Q: can I wear it as a scarf around my face?

Simple answer is the item can cover the face in the same way as a scarf can. You can arrange the tube itself so the opening is only where your eyes are visible, but be warned the thermal layer may lead to you over heating unless arctic conditions.

Q: Is this secure enough to stay on the nose to provide full neck, mouth and nose protection? My old one (not this product) is too loose and slips off.

These neck tubes are cut to provide a snug but not restrictive fit. They will stay over your nose.
