Great Tamper!
Good quality material, real wood handle that fits well with the grab, heavy enough for a good press without being extremely heavy, sleek look. Arrived fast and without issues. Would definitely recommend :-)

A good product for a good price
An excellent product. Used with a Sage ‘The Oracle’ machine (as a backup to the temperamental self tamping mechanism), this a great fit for the 58mm portafilter. The build is good and study, and the quality of the finish on the solid metal base is excellent.

Nice tamper for a gaggia classic.
This item is machined very nicely indeed with a good weight to it.The handle does unscrew for cleaning if you wish. I was also impressed with the packing box & foam insert.Quality item.

Excellent product
Even though I use filter coffee I thought this tamp might produce good results. It does! The coffee tastes much stronger and therefore I can use less of it. Brilliant!

I know it sounds insane to pay this much for such a simple tool, but if you have one of those flimsy plastic tampers that tend to be supplied with espresso makers, then it is well worth upgrading to something like this with a good smooth, heavy bottom. With a tool like this you can simply make better, more consistent coffee, which brings happiness in the morning. Do make sure you measure the size you need though, and order the size that fits your espresso filter (or whatever the part where you put the ground coffee in is called).PS: the other thing that really improved the taste of my coffee was when I bought a coffee grinder to grind the coffee fresh from the beans.

Good quality for the price, not 58mm
Sturdy tamper, a bit lighter than used to, good quality all round. Mine isn't 58mm though, it's 57 and therefore doesn't fit the Gaggia Classic Pro, leaves a rim around the edge.

Very well made,,,with a caviat.
OK, it's an incredible deal at that price. super heavy and feels very good in hand. the stainless steel is really high grade and the etching does give it that "pro" finish.MY ONLY RECOMMENDATION:I should have taken the 58.4 and not the 58mm... 58.4 leaves no margin for error and can get stuck if you are pulling tons of shots and moving fast...BUT if you are in it for the passion or the ultimate tamp... then, order a 58.4... that little margin will compress your puck to perfection.
