I bought this after being told that you could read your own fault codes by a close friend. Something that I thought only possible in the garage, or at the very least would require some expense bit of equipment.I was quite surprised to find out just how many of these OBD2 readers were on the market, and how cost effective they were to purchase – almost to the point of being skeptical.None the less, I opened it and plugged it into the OBD2 port of my 2007 Ford Focus Zetec, and low and behold it read the EML (engine management light) that was on. It confirmed that it was in fact the front lambda sensor and because of that air/fuel ratios were incorrect. Popped down to Euro Car Parts and picked up a replaced for £50, put it on and cleared the codes using the reader.Fingers crossed, so far all seems to be working. I did clear the fault codes using the reader, done about 50 miles and so far nothing has come back. Saved quite a bit of money over the diagnostic price alone at the local Ford dealership.

Purchased this as my engine light kept coming on even after the garage. so i decided to order this as it had great reviews and was a good price. the reader is very good quality and durable. i managed to connect it to my car very easily and there us an instruction manual telling you how to use all the functions. you can use it to see error codes, live data and even the vehicle information. overall im very pleased and would highly recommend it. also my husband take this fault code reader to test cadilac escalade and the same working good and show all fault

turned up on time I bought it as i have a check light that keeps coming on and as i know the problem is a dodgy sensor and the car is well maintained by a local garage its easier to just cancel the code when it comes on onstead of taking it back to the garage easy to use although the instructions are printed so small i couldn't read them ( the small print is the only thing that stopped me giving this a 5 star rating ) went to u tube for the a demo video which i found easily problem sorted.

Brilliant bit of kit simple to use and can save £££ by using this simple diagnostics tool. Used on Jaguar x type 2006 and worked perfectly. If your car has a OBD ll port this is a must have. Have paid £25 in the past to have diagnostics done on the car. With the power of the internet and this tool you can save money, It not only tells you the code it also gives you a brief description of problem.

Easy to use gadget. Worked on vauxhall zafira, return no faults on my vauxhall combo van 05, vauxhall astra 06 reg, volvo v70 97 reg. All with different faults but shows nothing on device. All have maintenace/service lights on. again does not show this. I suppose it gets the thumbs down. Will be a more expensive one.

Very happy with this product. I had major issues with the DPF filter on my 2010 Ford Mondeo Estate (2.0L). My friend's equivalent device (different make and model reader) didn't work so I took the chance on this item, and it's worked perfectly on the number of occasions I've used it. Simple to use, worked every time and provided the codes I needed that I could look up on the Internet to verify the nature of the fault.

Worked like a charm on my Mercedes E350 I found the fault code which was to do with Mass air flow sensor contacts and cleared the fault. Paid for itself with the first use.

L’obd2 arriva in una confezione di plastica ben fatta. Nella confezione è presente un manuale in cui non è presente la lingua italiana.Il prodotto è realizzato interamente in plastica, è ben assemblato ma non è certo un prodotto premium. Sulla parte frontale troviamo tre tasti e il display retroilluminato.Le istruzioni anche se in lingua inglese ma sono chiare e facili da comprendere. Questo strumento serve esclusivamente a leggere i codici di errore forniti dalla centralina della macchina ed inoltre fornisce informazioni in tempo reale sullo stato della macchina. Nel mio caso lo strumento ha funzionato senza problemi è sono riuscito verificare gli errori nella centralina. Nella sezione live ci sono varie informazioni, tra gli altri il numero di giri. Lo strumento ha letto senza problemi anche l’id della mia macchina. Il display è ben visibile grazie all’illuminazione e alla regolazione del contrasto. Lo strumento fornisce solo una serie di informazioni tramite dei codici di errore, non risolve i problemi ma ci informa sul tipo di problema. Non è detto che vedendo il codice si capisca quale sia il problema, bisognerebbe avere un minimo di conoscenza e armarsi di pazienza per cercare l’errore, magari su internet.Nel complesso questo obd funziona bene e fa ciò che deve.La spedizione ha rispettato i tempi stabiliti grazie all’ottimo servizio Amazon.

Das Gerät kommt mit einer mehrsprachigen Bedienungsanleitung, unter anderem auf deutsch. Es ist relativ gut übersetzt, man hat keine Schwierigkeiten den Inhalt zu verstehen. Es macht einen durchaus robusten Eindruck, liegt gut in der Hand und das Kabel ist lang genug. Unten ist ein Mini USB Anschluss vorhanden, leider geht weder die Bedienungsanleitung noch sonst etwas darauf ein, wozu dieser ist. Falls es jemand weiss, bitte gerne als Kommentar notieren.Das Gerät wird über die ODB2 Schnittstelle (idR im Fussraum des Fahrersitzes) angeschlossen. Sofort meldet sich das Display und bittet die Zündung einzuschalten. Danach dauert es einige Sekunden bis das Fehlerprotokoll heruntergeladen ist und das Auslesen kann beginnen. Die Menueführung ist ebenfalls mehrsprachig, darunter deutsch, einstellbar und sehr leicht und intuitiv zu bedienen. Ich konnte die Bedienungsanleitung nach einem ersten Test des Geräts zusammen mit der Verpackung entfernen.Zugelegt habe ich mir das Gerät, weil ich vor einer Woche in einer Freitag Nacht auf der Autobahn 400 KM entfernt von daheim die freundliche Bekanntschaft mit meiner MKL machte und ohne Fehlerauslese nicht in der Lage war einschätzen zu können, ob ich nun weiterfahre oder mir ein Hotel nehme. Ich bin langsam weitergefahren und am Montag hat sich herausgestellt das meine Zündspule defekt war.Für solche Situationen finde ich das Gerät wirklich hilfreich, denn ob ich mit der leuchtenden MKL weiterfahre oder nicht kann entscheidend für die Lebensdauer meines Motors sein. Zudem kann ich nun Fehler selbst auslesen (und 100.- bei Mercedes dafür sparen) und mir anhand des Fehlercodes ein erstes Bild von der Sache machen. Den angezeigten Fehlercode einfach googeln und ich bin nach kurzem Einlesen in Foren etc. in der Lage zu einer Werkstatt zu gehen, den Fehler zu nennen und entsprechende Behebungsvorschläge zu machen. Mit dieser vorgetäuschten Kompetenz verringert es auch die Wahrscheinlichkeit, das mir der halbe Motor auseinander genommen wird, wenn eigentlich nur ein Schlau porös ist ;)Mein Mercedes C-Klasse zeigt selbst im Display "Keine Störung" an und das Diagnosegerät bestätigt dies. Allerdings weiss ich das es einen Fehler gibt, den die Mercedes Werkstatt mir gezeigt hat, nämlich den, das kein Original Mercedes Werksradio verbaut ist (habe ein Pioneer Naviceiver drin). Das ist aber eigentlich eher eine Statusmeldung und keine Fehlermeldung und wenn mein Auto das nicht anzeigt, muss es das "Notfall-Diagnosegerät" auch nicht, insofern natürlich kein Stern Abzug.Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung, wenn Sie das Gerät zu ähnlichen Zwecken wie ich haben möchten. Um den Wagen zwischendurch "nur so" mal zu checken, um kleinere Fehlermeldungen die bekannt sind und / oder keinen Werkstattbesuch rechtfertigen zu löschen, und vor allem um bei leuchtender MKL sofort im Bilde zu sein, ohne verzweifelt beim ADAC anrufen zu müssen, ist es wirklich einwandfrei geeignet.

Bei meinem ehemaligen Fox hat die Motorkontrolle geleuchtet, Gerät angesteckt ausgelesen gelöscht, simple!

Funciona bien y permite un reconocimiento rápido e incluso observar datos en tiempo real con el vehículo arrancado y en marcha. No le pongo las cinco estrellas porque aunque dice que reconoce los vehículos desde el año 1996 no es cierto, ya que varios vehículos de ese año, incluso alguno de 1998, no me los ha reconocido de ninguna manera.
