Brilliant.
Brilliant. Used to remove Citroen suspension spheres. One was tight as hell and needed a breaker bar + extension tube but the strap worked perfect, without slipping or signs of strain. (I thought it might snap!) And, because it's a strap, not a chain, it gets into very confined spaces.

A filter wrench that works and doesn't damage the filter
This actually works quite well. However care is needed due to the size of the metal bar, as some oil filters are quite short, such as those on motorbikes. This means when enough of the strap is secured round the filter, the metal bar can end up rubbing against the engine casing and taking off any paint. I reduced the chance of this happening by wrapping the outside of the ends with electrical tape. What this strap type wrench does do however is prevent damage to the filter itself, this might not be important as the filter normally gets thrown away, but if you are just inspecting or planning to reuse the filter, this might be helpful.

It works, if you change friend's family or your own oil and filter get one, it will last a lifetime and doesn't cost a lot.

A great dual 3/8 and 1/2 filter wrench that really works.
As you would expect from Draper, a really good quality feel to this product. Great to have the option of both 3/8 and 1/2" drive. Used this to remove an oil filter on my Volvo where the filter is set into a pocket with only about 25mm showing that you can get a grip onto, certainly not enough to undo by hand. Wrapped the strap around the filter passed it back thro the slot on the socket and used the 3/8" socket on it and the filter just undid without and real effort. This does have a really long strap that I thought would get in the way, but no it did the job very well.

Not good in tight fits
It’s a good idea but doesn’t like tight places. I kept it for the future but haven’t used it as it won’t work on my motorcycles or my American Car.

Don't allow the strap to get drenched in oil.
Works well for some jobs. If a filter gets oily the strap can possibly slip.

It’s a very handy product … I had the chain type and it did not fit my car .. this it’s a top product well designed
