Days of Wonder Yamatai Board Game

Yamatai is a beautiful game with bright, colourful art and wooden pieces. The game play is simple to perform but requires some thinking about especially as the board becomes more crowded. It is a good ‘euro’ game that a lot of people will enjoy. Ultimately I only have limited space and it didn’t quite hit the heights of other similar games and so didn’t stay in my collection. This does mean it’s a bad game just not an excellent one!

A solid design, although not one of Bruno Cathala's best. Amazing component quality, as is always the case from Days of Wonder. The main downside is that, as the game progresses, it can lead to some serious analysis paralysis. Overall, a very good and deep game, just not a great one.

Great game but as a few other people have found, the box came damaged. Not sure if the games on sale are returns and hence the low price. Would still recommend though.

Great game , works well with all ages 8+

Great game with similar elements to five tribes. Seems confusing at first but a couple of rounds of playing and you will get to grips with it. Would recommend to board gammers

A medium strategy game of the famous designer Bruno Cathala. Ranked 530 in BGG with an average rating of 7.2.I have played this game only with 2 players and it works very well. The components are awesome. Very good quality.I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to buy two copies of the game to get the good price of £23 each. Anyway, the game is awesome and the two copies came with the box intact, no damage at all. Recommended!
