I absolutely adore these inks!!! I can use them for calligraphy and like a watercolor. The pigmented are deep and beautiful. You can lighten them with a brush worth of water or a little bit of white acrylic paint. I'm sure white calligraphy ink would work as well. My only 2 complaints are that they don't come in bigger bottles and they can be difficult to open at first. There is a metal screw top and a plastic cork. The cork is difficult to get out without spraying ink on you hand and work surface. But after a few uses the cork isn't so tight and easier to get out. With the bottle being so tiny they can be difficult to manage. Despite the small size they last quite a while. That aside I love these inks! The colors and variety is amazing! I just bought a second set. They are so versatile!

These inks are lovely, for drawing and ink painting, the added shimmer is subtle (it is not a full on metallic ink, just an accent, and if you don't shake the bottle you can control how much shimmer) and the range of colors is great. The bottles are a mess, I appreciate how robust the stoppers are, because you really don't want them to leak in transit, but getting them out of the bottles is a messy MESSY, and this ink stains fiercely. I definitely recommend rebottling these inks into better containers that either have better stoppers or lids that are airtight.Bottles aside, this collection of ink is great and I am glad I got it.

I had a difficult time getting into the colors. I am unsure if the grey stopper piece is to come off or do I dip my pen through the top. When I first tried to use the ink, I got it all over my fingers so I think I must be doing something wrong. There were no instructions on how to open the ink properly.

These inks didn't work with a dip calligraphy pen. They're a little too thin to stick to the nibs. If you're using a refillable calligraphy pen like LAMY they would like work well. They may also work with a glass dip pen, but a calligraphy dip pen it was difficult to get a good even stroke with them and I had to dip frequently.I think the colors are pretty, and they do have a glittering content. They need to be shaken well.Considering returning. I couldn't find any reviews regarding the intended pen type so I hope this helps someone else.

The inks are pretty, but the corks are difficult to get out and make a mess and stain hands badly, also ink gets trapped in the lid and leaks onto the bottles and also stains hands. Needless to say, I regret this purchase and do not recommend.
