KaiyodoMacross Robotech Revoltech #051 Super Poseable Action Figure Regult

Great toy for Robotech/Macross fans: super detailed and able to achieve unreal flexible poses - happy I added this to my shelf!

I bought this as a gift for someone. I was thinking it would be a little larger but the quality was good and the receiver of the gift seemed to love it.

I have both this this Revoltech Zentraedi Battle Pod/Regult as well as one of the Toynami Battle Pods. They're both very nice, but if I had to choose one, it would be this one -- the Kaiyodo Revoltech version. It's smaller than the Toynami, and doesn't stand quite as sturdily, but the variety of poses one can manage is really impressive. (The Toynami has very little poseability; it pretty much just stands there looking cool.) The series of pictures here on Amazon's listing of the Revoltech Battle Pod accurately reflect what one can do with this toy. Many poses require the removable stand. But it looks great.I should mention that because my Battle Pod mainly just sits in my office, other than posing it now and then, I don't really play with it and so I can't really speak to how durable it is or how much abuse it can take without breaking. (I wouldn't let my two-year old handle it for much more than a minute or two; it definitely felt too fragile for that.) Also, I noticed that it took a little practice to get accustomed to the Revoltech joints. (It was my first experience not only with revoltech, but with these sorts of poseable figures.)Highly recommended. A little on the small side, and perhaps less a toy and more a poseable collector's showpiece. But if you're a big fan of either Macross or Robotech (or both) and, like me, have wanted a model of Battle Pod since you were a kid, this is a real treat. I love staring at it every time I'm at work.

Just keep in mind these were not made recently and the rubber can degrade. Originally seller said they would send replacement then sent an email later on saying they did not send and wanted pictures. Too much drama for me; know what you are buying and realize these are not of recent manufacture.

Probably the only modern version of this 80's toy available. Cheap, well proportioned & good articulation (for something with only two legs). A very satisfying little toy that holds it's own in your display, for not a lot of money, great!
