Sky Viper v2450GPS Streaming Drone with Autopilot & GPS

Easy to set up, easy to link the phone FPV as well as the GPS tracking, easy to fly. Return to home brought it back within 3 feet of take off with a light breeze pushing on it. Very stable camera with no buzz at all. Moderate lag between camera and phone but pretty fly-able in FPV. This is a larger drone with a white color so it's very easy to see even far away. If you fly small quads or black ones, you will appreciate the visibility of this drone. Battery life was solidly mediocre. Not amazing, not terrible. We weren't pushing it (mostly low speed and hovering) and we got around 10 minutes on a less than full battery.Didn't get to range test but the FPV camera feed was still solid with spells of lag out to as far as we could see the drone. Drone control didn't waver to that distance either.A very good drone for the price. For a beginner it will grow with you and for more experienced pilots it checks all the boxes for a fun park flyer.

Overall I'm happy with buying this drone. I did some research and the sky viper seemed to be the best value. It's cheaper and comes with more flying options than the other drones I looked at.The drone comes pre-assembled and includes extra accessories like replacement blades and screws in case you need them. Make sure you have AA batteries for the remote control. The drone itself just needs to be charged.For a first time drone flyer, the controls are pretty easy to manage. I did have some bumps along the way, but got the hang of it after a few minutes.Apparently battery on the drone lasts about 11 mins, which I think is a bit short. Also it would have been more helpful if the manual was a little more detailed, but didn't take me long to figure out everything.If you're a first time drone user or thinking about buying a cool gift this is a great option for you.

I am all thumbs. Also a kid at heart. I got this for one reason, to play. As an adult we can't loose that ability. I have no use for the camera, so I can't comment. I tested it and it works. Haven't flown it outside so I can't say how is GPS or other features work. But as an all thumbs pilot, I can fly it down the hall ways at work (work for a start up so freedom to fly here and there allowed) without crashing into the walls too bad. Fly time is enough that by the time I get bored it time for a a recharge. Would prefer an off/on switch instead of connecting and disconnecting the battery to fly. Guards have helped keep me from using the spare blades. Easy to fly is the name of the game. I like this drone.

I looked for a product for my son that he could use outside and improve his skills, as he has been flying drones inside for a while. This looked perfect and the features it offered were great... until a tiny 1/2 cent piece of plastic broke and now the whole thing is useless. Trying to find a replacement part has been near impossible and requests for help from their support team have gone unanswered.Its a real shame that what appears to be a great product can so easily be turned into garbage.

I bought this drone recently and have flown it for only 1 week, so I will update this review as I get more informationPros: 1) drone is very light weight, nicely made, 2) comes with a 1200 mAh battery (instead of 700-800 mAh) , 3) it is easy to get to work, 4) uses open source firmware (Ardupilot) that is upgradable and allows additional phone software to be installed for more features, 5) has GPS, which is useful for using the "return" function..Cons: 1) Image in cell phone is super grainy and unusable (I have tested it only indoors or small spaces where the image changes a lot, it may be different outdoors). 2) Drone tends to drift sideways (common issue due to small differences in blades) and there is no way to null out. 3) battery has quite short life, about 5-7 min, with no hard use 4) battery connector is a fairly rare JST that somewhat reduces battery choices. 5) battery compartment only allows a smallish size battery and there are no options for larger batteries

This quadcopter works very well. It hovers nicely and responds to the controls very well. I'm new to drones. When GPS is enabled I can fly the drone into the distance and then press the return button and watch it come back to me and hover nearby. It's also very durable. If I get confused and lose control I can press the power button on the transmitter and the drone will drop to the ground rather than fly away. I've also tried it with the FPV Goggles that come with the Sky Viper v2450FPV drone which uses a cell phone app in stereo vision to give 3D depth perception which works quite well. And finally the main reason I like this drone is that it runs ArduPilot/ArduCopter making it a wanna be drone developer's dream come true.

I bought this for my son in November of 2017 as a Christmas gift. Due to the winter season and the poor start to Michigan's spring weather he did not have a chance to use the drone until April of 2018. In less than one hour's flight time it began to fly erratically and we quickly figured out that one of the motors had gone bad. I contacted Sky Viper support via email and waited and well over a week for a response. I am told no replacement engines are available and to return to the retailer. I am doubtful Amazon will allow a return or replacement after six months and I can't blame them. I am livid and have a very disappointed 11 year old. Avoid Sky Viper...

Excellent drone for beginers and advanced with gps and rth. You will love its ease of use and the advanced data and info for maimtenance if you should need it. Low cost entry of gps asisted drones and one of the best if not the best in its price range. I had to purchase a larger one because i cant find a replacement motor that has failed. The larger one is great but does not have any of the data capability and gui interface for maintenance or testing. And the more expensive and larger comes with worry as it is heavier . The skyviper if it failed in flight has more durability and less worry due to its lightweight design. I miss my skyviper.
