I used this needle to re-lace my ice hockey goalie catch glove. I had done it once before without the proper tools (I used some bamboo skewers, the tip of a dart, and needle-nose pliers), during which I got the job done but managed to stab myself in the hand at least five times. This tool made it far easier the next time around: simply push the needle through, thread the lace into the eye of the needle, and pull it back through. Takes some muscle, but lets you do it more neatly and less painfully.

What is a glove if it doesn't have the lacing. The lacing on my glove broke several days ago and I have been forcing the issue and just trying to get it to work in the field. I coach my sons team and really needed to get this fixed. One of the dads had some lacing but didn't have a needle. I spent forever it seemed trying to just twist and fold the lacing through the holes in the glove. It did not go well. Instead, I decided to get a lacing needle. This one is really good. It has a rubber based handle that allows for good grip and long enough to go from hole to hole to get that glove relaced quicker than what I was doing.

It's not unusual to find unusual items on Amazon. This glove fixer is just what my brother-in-law needed for his expensive baseball glove.
